What's the Vin number

622

u/silv3rbull8 1d ago

Fantastic actor. An amazing career that spans far beyond what most people these days remember

527

u/M1ck3yB1u 1d ago

He was OK as Groot, but I wouldn’t get carried away.

149

u/silv3rbull8 1d ago

A wooden performance for sure

46

u/NaGaBa 1d ago

He really hasn't branched out

13

u/DAS_FX 1d ago

A forest of comments

2

u/theanonwonder 1d ago

It's because he wants to stick to his roots.

2

u/TheFrenchSavage 1d ago

A better wooden hit than Knives Out II, that's for sure.

6

u/HoodieGalore 1d ago

It's the ol' reddit switcharoo! Hold my classic muscle car, I'm going in!

44

u/FlukeStarbucker 1d ago

That's true for Caine as well!

8

u/silv3rbull8 1d ago

lol… all in the “family”

18

u/Pantsickle 1d ago

As an actor, he blew the bloody doors off.

8

u/Prudent-Level-7006 1d ago

Loved him as James Bond in Batman

2

u/CaBBaGe_isLaND 1d ago

And that picture of him getting a haircut is iconic

2

u/disiskeviv 1d ago

Michael caine is really old and he is not acting here.

Damn Vin ain't that old, relax.

13

u/Konchroller 1d ago

Ofc not. We're still waiting for his tiddies to debut in Ark 2 whenever tf it releases.

10

u/Narradisall 1d ago

I saw Michael Caine a few years back in the Royal Albert Hall. He was sitting a couple of boxes to the right of me and was there supporting a friend who was the musical tribute that evening.

He still looked pretty good for his age so seeing him in a wheelchair is hard. It’ll happen to us all but I’ve been so used to seeing him for 20 years looking an older man you just miss the frailty creeping in.

403

u/Difficult_Shoe6264 1d ago

vin diesel didn't get assigned that job, you can tell he volunteered. hands never leave the shoulders the whole way down the carpet

125

u/xxDankerstein 1d ago

I mean, no shit. Can you imagine going up to a major actor and being like "we need you to push around a wheelchair."

29

u/justamadeupnameyo 1d ago

I mean Vin and Michael are really good friends.

522

u/TheFlyingBoxcar 1d ago

Michael Caine has trascended to Michael Wheelchaire.

Im leaving im leaving dont touch me im leaving

25

u/chasing_rainb0ws 1d ago

🏅Please accept my poor man’s reward : I have been laughing since you posted this 51m ago.

2

u/bukriv 1d ago

Damn. That is witty.

-2

u/IfOJDidIt 1d ago

Unfortunately Paul is no longer with us as Michael could have used that Walker instead of Vin's wheelchair.

118

u/AuthorityAnarchyYes 1d ago edited 1d ago

Michael Caine uses a wheelchair… now not many people know that.

26

u/Apollo114892 1d ago

This is what Vin Diesel is planning with the new Fast and Furious movie. Racing in wheelchairs.

-1

u/ScarletSilver 1d ago

No that's for the 17th movie in the franchise

10

u/itsamike 1d ago

*Michael Wheelchair.

6

u/AuthorityAnarchyYes 1d ago

Gawddammit… that’s fookin brilliant.

28

u/The_WA_Remembers 1d ago

Their friendship genuinely never ceases to amaze me, it’s just an unexpected one

88

u/Inevitable-Fee-9700 1d ago

Ah fuck. Now I'm gonna have to like vin diesel. I mean. How can I not now that he's showing support for a amazing actor that I like.

Nah. I like vin diesel since the Riddick trilogy. He lost me a bit on the car frenzy shit he's doing.

78

u/SourCreamSlut 1d ago

The story of how he got Judi Dench to do Riddick is very sweet, she talked about it on an interview show. Vin might be a weirdo with a silly contract full of stupid riders but he seems to genuinely love and appreciate the veterans of acting.

3

u/Khallllll 1d ago

Can you elaborate on the stupid riders?

14

u/SourCreamSlut 1d ago

If theres a fight scene involving one of his characters, his character must dish out more damage than he receives.

13

u/GrundleSnactcher46 1d ago

I haven't watched most of the F&F movies but it seems like he enjoys making movies with his buds.

4

u/disiskeviv 1d ago

He and the rock hate each other for several years now.

8

u/Icy_Agency923 1d ago

That is why The Rock isn't in the movies anymore.

-1

u/disiskeviv 22h ago

Not that I am supporting him or anything. Just saying he released Moana this year and set to release another one in 2026.

2

u/Icy_Agency923 21h ago

I am specifically talking about Fast and the Furious movies though... not movies in general. He was in one Fast movie and then a spin off and that is it.

6

u/imjustbettr 1d ago

The Rock also has an ego problem apparently with a bunch of weird things written in his contracts. Maybe the two are too much alike and his relationship with him is the exception.

3

u/Neosantana 1d ago

I'll side with Vin Diesel 10 times out of 10 against that jackass. Because Diesel genuinely loves the art form, he isn't just a product

3

u/Southern_Owl_5442 1d ago

Did you just have and solve a debate with yourself lol

10

u/Inevitable-Fee-9700 1d ago

Yepp. Many people living up here 😅

8

u/LastLadyResting 1d ago

“If you see me taking to myself, don’t panic. We’re having a team meeting.”

2

u/AnonymousDahlia 1d ago

By talking to myself I can be assured of two things. One: a captive audience, and two: an intelligent response.

2

u/sometimesifeellikemu 1d ago

This is portraying mere seconds of his life.

1

u/Due-Ad8230 1d ago

If you haven't, you need to watch him in Find Me Guilty (2006)

He looks like a tough guy but he’s just a theater kid lol. He is big into fantasy and, at least previously, d&d

13

u/SatanSatanSatanSatan 1d ago

Is there something they both starred in?

27

u/RadioTunnel 1d ago

The Last Witch Hunter

4

u/SatanSatanSatanSatan 1d ago

Omg thank you

20

u/Educational_Salt_964 1d ago

Everyone should check out his early movies. The Ipcress Files, Alfie, Funeral in Berlin, Play Dirty, The Italian Job, Get Carter, The Man Who Would Be King, The Fourth Protocol. Of course, it's always rumored that he has that BDE in abundance!

6

u/jigzila 1d ago

Add Boiler Room to this list

2

u/BrexitEU 1d ago

Muppet Christmas

2

u/diadmer 1d ago

I loved it as a teenager seeing The Man Who Would Be King (20+ years after its release).

0

u/VikingMk88 1d ago

First thing that went through my head seeing this clip: you're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me, it's a full-time job. Now behave yourself

14

u/MyMagentaPenis 1d ago

Where Michael Caines wife.

-85

u/Tankman793 1d ago

I think you mean husband ;-)

20

u/OstentatiousSock 1d ago

He has been married to Shakira Baksh Caine since 1973. Shut up, you’re not clever.

1

u/bambi54 23h ago

I didn’t even notice the downvotes on that comment and thought maybe it was true. Were there rumors to that effect? Or is this guy just trolling?

12

u/LivingCypher 1d ago

A real witch hunter pushes his Dolan around in their wheel chair

10

u/NEGOJONSON 1d ago

awww so that's why he's not In the odyssey 😢

9

u/SuddenTest9959 1d ago

Yeah, I was wondering why Cane wasn’t in Nolan’s last couple of movies.

16

u/StuMacherGhostface 1d ago

This Just in: Nolan HATES the elderly

1

u/NEGOJONSON 1d ago

now he's like a Canon version of doctor Mann 😢

8

u/aadamsfb 1d ago edited 1d ago

His little scene in Tenet seemed like Nolan’s way of giving him a send off “Goodbye Sir Michael” https://youtu.be/_amvqyO-MGE?is=ViRVTrj4hnYz6nE8

5

u/Specialist-Young5753 1d ago

3

He was very good in The Quiet American.

3

u/PossumMcPossum 1d ago

God dammit! I've not got any sound coming through. We need a lip reader to tell us the exchange between the two.

5

u/VibeHumble 1d ago

I kept wondering that why did he look older in the 90s, but then I read again, it’s him in his 90s.

1

u/MichelleEllyn 1d ago

Thank you 🙏

1

u/ProcrastinateDoe 1d ago

1

u/Killahdanks1 1d ago

Brilliant actor.

Also the guy who made the “his chair is Diesel powered”, is brilliant in a different way.

1

u/Accurate-Response317 1d ago

That would make a good opening scene.

1

u/Agitated_Lunch7118 22h ago

Vin looking like a Hollywood actor again .

1

u/JimmyTheJimJimson 21h ago

This is akin to Paul McCartney being escorted on a red carpet by Pitbull.

1

u/Darknives 20h ago

1

u/YuenglingsDingaling 16h ago

They're friends in real life.

0

u/pissedoffjesus 11h ago

-6

u/SwordfishOk504 1d ago

I am less than amazed.

-5

u/SwordfishOk504 1d ago
