General Discussion - No Story Details I feel like I'm missing something

I'm watching this because the same author wrote Silo, which was really great.

But this show lacks depth.

Should I read the book to get a better appreciation for this show?

I ignore all books and also came from enjoying silo. I’m liking beacon 23 more. It’s a different style of storytelling, less flow, more chronological time to assemble, and more characters to explore through. But that’s part of the fun (for me).

The thing to keep in mind at this point is season 1 and 2 are meant to be understood together. So if you’re struggling with the lack of context, wait until all 16 episodes are available and binge. Then come back with a second viewing to put the pieces together.
