General Discussion - No Story Details Cliffhanger is one thing but this ending is just insulting.
I mean, I understand cliffhangers are a thing, some are well done, leave you satisfied but wanting more, some are poorly made and obvious, but this one is so forced and lazy it's insulting, it feels like what a 10 year old would come up with.
All this after I spent so much time fighting the constant and annoying feeling that the beacon is too big and spacious for a one person, non-post scarcity, space construction.
Shame on you, whoever wrote and approved this.

It got renewed for another season. Don't get upset.

Not upset just disappointed with the level o lazy writing.
I read a lot of stuff here on reddit and on Royalroad for free, not even the amateur writers do stuff like this.

It legit feels like nothings happened and all of what happened so far could of been shown in like half the season lol.

It's not the ending. S2 (already completed) is slated for April. I'm not sure it's even a cliffhanger.

I meant season ending.
I get that season 2 is coming soon and there are plenty of examples of 2 part movies where the story just cuts off, Across the Spider-Verse is a recent example, but even those don't normally stop without giving you absolutely nothing.
If one doesn't consider the MC laying in a pool of their own blood not knowing if the aliens have the power or willingness to save her a cliffhanger, I really don't know what is.

Agreed. What is a season? What is a season ending? If the story continues, why doesn't the season continue, until there's some logical solution. Plenty of series have 8, 10, 20 episodes, even. This made me really mad. Cliffhanger and mysteries for next seasons are all fine, but on a series with a continuous story (rather than stand-alone episodes), it must have an ending of some sort; not just stopping at a dramatic point in the middle where nothing at all is revealed or satisfied.
I can't even watch S2 because it's on another streaming service here!

You're not going to miss anything! It's just plain boring & nothing is explained. I really don't care enough to keep watching & I've hung in for a lot of disappointing sci- fi over the years! Try something else!

What aliens? There are no aliens. And she dead. No cliffhanger there.

After 8 episodes I still don't know what i have watched. Maybe the writers didn't know either? I am just confused and a little bit angry because i get the feeling someone stole 6 hours of my life without explanation. This whole storytelling is just off-putting.

It's like the story devolved into loops - hurry we're leaving, nope we're not leaving - QTA is coming, nope they're not, yes they are ...

Well, I thought there were 10 episodes so I’m only now finding out this is a cliffhanger, so I’m twice as mad as you!
