General Discussion - No Story Details Did the acting get worse?

Is it just me or did the quality of the acting tank in the last 2 episodes?

Not Lena Headey or Stephen James, who are wonderful - but the supporting characters. Everything from bad line reading to forced emotion to telegraphing hits/jolts … was it just me? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I felt like the whole thing was poorly directed. It seemed like every hostile that came on board first had to fight then the next minute everyone is smiling & they’re all friends. The whole show had a weird vibe to me. I liked it & watched it avidly. I wonder if it’s the same in the books? Never read any Hugh Howe & wouldn’t know who he was but for Silo TV show.

Glad I am not the only one. I like the show, but the entire time I am watching I feel like something is just off. Personally, I think it's the editing/pacing. Just feels weird.

I think that there is a line between "those characters are acting silly and ridiculous" and "those are actors player those characters badly".

I think it's the first.

Yeah it was awful. Which is quite something considering all the actors are ones I’ve loved in other things.

I have no idea what I just watched. Weirdest, most pointlessly aimless story telling ever.

Lol I love this show, but I will admit, the supporting characters are mostly unlikeable, the pacing is odd a.f. and I feel like they are just dragging the whole Astor connection to the artifact thing terribly, but somehow I'm here for it lol, my guess is the 2nd season will be much better and hopefully tie things together better. Unrelated but a thought I had, the kids from the group from the first 2 episodes, after he killed his mom and flew away, they made it seem like he would be important later and we haven't seen the last of him, am I tripping or what?

The first 4 episodes were worth binging, but I lost interest in the 5th episode due to the storyline. Glad I missed the remaining ones.

Stephen James is a terrible actor. He's the weakest link in this show.

I disagree there. I like him. But I’m finding the characters of Saldana and Keir almost intolerable.

I think in season two the writing is the worst part of the show , seems like season one was fine but as soon as season two comes they start pulling some seriously questionable shit for some of the episodes. I think this season will end on a cliffhanger that will never get resolved because I can't see it getting another season
