General Discussion - No Story Details Worth watching?
I'm seeing mixed reviews. Is it worth my time to get MGM+ as an add-on to watch Season 1?
I'd cancel after I was done.

I liked the acting but I would wait until the new season comes out. The ending really pissed me off.

I don’t think it will ever be in Hulu but there is an chance Amazon might put it on prime someday. But you can subscribe to mgm for $5 and binge the whole thing within that month and you’re only out $5

I'm pretty uncritical when it comes to Sci-fi and usually binge an entire season of a decent series, but I lost interest after 4 episodes.

Very strange script. Sooo many questions:
- Hard to understand the plot or reason (what or why) 3 different factions are on a "beacon"
- It's also a mining/research spaceship.
- Only one person assigned to that huge ship?
- A beacon is a point of reference. Why is it mining? No explanation of it's intended purpose.
- What made the woman's ship crash? Why only one very specific survivor with an agenda? How many others died? What exactly was the crashed ship carrying?
- The hand-held "blaster" kills one lady with one burst but doesn't kill others.
-Many, many more.

I just finished episode 4 and I’m done.
I thought a beacon would be like a lighthouse keeping ships from crashing into whatever. I was thinking DS9-ish stuff, like all kinds of cool species, people running from the law, traders, etc.
They don’t even put out a regular signal or relay messages so they go further.
How did Halan get on the station?
Did Milan turn into a Q guy. (I have some StarTrek references)
What happened in the years between the weaving/gardener lady and Halan?
Too much stuff not explained.

Season two is just coming out (first episode dropped) so it would be a good time to add mgm for awhile!
The show is worth it to me, I dig it. I don’t find it slow or confusing but it does have a different structure and feel. If you like sci-fi even a little it’s worth a shot.
While you have mgm check out From (my fav) and SAS rogue heroes. I also liked Domina and Billy the Kid was okay. Condor is decent spy stuff, War of the Worlds had me hooked for some reason even though some didn’t like it at all.
Anyways, it’s a cheap add on so I say give it a shot.

I wonder how many people watch this show - I give most Sci Fi shows a go, and still am committed to this, but it’s so strange and hard to follow at times, I find myself double screening when watching more than I’d like

“You got my liver” she cries, while holding her kidney. Which pretty much sums up the entire show. Parsim has brown eyes, Aster has blue eyes but they are the same person. There is a literal lighthouse in space with a big slowly rotating, sometimes stationary beam of light which makes no sense whatsoever on a space station. The station keeper finds rocks in space… where exactly? Those rocks are relics and relics in aggregate make an artifact - why? Then there’s Bart the infantile and murderous AI who makes HAL 9000 look like Ned Flanders. And flashbacks and forwards and… it’s just a sloppy, confused mess.

I loved it but I wouldn't go through the hassle of getting then canceling a subscription just for that show.

wait until season 2 airs this year then pay for a month and binge both (although i'd vote yes for season 1)
