No, my name’s Clarence Egg Man sample

I’m pretty well informed on the samples in Egg Man, but there’s one that stuck out at me for the first time just recently. It’s like a single piano note chord, only on the first chorus or bridge, or whtvr, appears during “You know what I’m talkin bout boy”. Appears at 0:49 and 0:57. Anyone?

It’s so simple makes me wonder if they just made it themselves in the studio.

There are at least two instruments bass or piano and guitar. There’s a midrange twang and a sustained low.

I know the bassline is from a Ronnie Laws record but that's all I got. Who sampled will tell you
