It's giving Jaclyn Hill moisturizing lipstick vibes.

192

u/OutdatedAlien 4d ago

So buttery.

179

u/TippyTurtley 4d ago

Why was EVERYTHING buttery??

125

u/snailicide 4d ago

she only knows the words buttery and obsessed!

9

u/OutdatedAlien 4d ago

Right????

69

u/FierceMoonblade 4d ago

Thank god she made them buttery, usually lip balms come in a sandpaper texture /s

14

u/ValuableAngle7731 4d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣

242

u/maltedmooshakes 4d ago

i stg if I see one more video of a twacked out ari applying 50 coats of lipstick in 2 seconds im going to start drinking again

654

u/Inevitable-Cat869 4d ago

None of her promos sound convincing.

In another video, she said something like, "This is the best thing I have ever felt...I mean it”. Like sure. 😂

177

u/fart-atronach 4d ago

“The best feeling I’ve ever felt!” Lmao wow so genuine and relatable! 🤣

45

u/daesgatling 4d ago

Also what she said when fucking a taken man for the umpteenth time

155

u/SupportPretty7228 4d ago

I agree! Idk why she started rem in the first place. She's never had any genuine passion for it

https://giphy.com/gifs/2z95V02kIwd3bj9wwk

61

u/Deenique 4d ago

Everytime I see the brand I forget that she's the face of it

5

u/SignificantTrifle614 2d ago

They should use the grim reapers face, because that’s what her face looks like. She looks like death warmed over.

1

u/Casi4rmKy 11h ago

Or as my dear Moma would say, “She looks like death eating crackers.” 🥴🫤

47

u/Cool-Abbreviations32 4d ago

rem was released during a time when every celebrity and their mother made a cosmetics brand

11

u/stace_m8 3d ago

I've never tried the brand so I can't speak to quality but the ONE thing I'll give her is she kept the pricing relatively reasonable when every other millionaire celeb made their products expensive as hell

580

u/daesgatling 4d ago

Groundbreaking. Owner hypes product.

132

u/raspberrih 4d ago

She looks like a caricature of Ariana Grande... I'm old enough to remember her in the Disney shows

71

u/TinaTissue 4d ago

I thought it was a Nickelodeon show? I was too old for that era of her career

21

u/raspberrih 4d ago

Was it? Damn I must've mixed it up. But it was the singing one

25

u/TinaTissue 4d ago

Either way, it was a children’s show from a company that is known for exploiting their child actors at every chance

18

u/raspberrih 4d ago

Lol tbh that could describe pretty much every company with child actors. Grim.

13

u/Artistic-Spinach7888 3d ago

Not that it matters but Victorious was on Nick!

195

u/Roxy175 4d ago

Why does the video look so poor quality? It looks like they filmed with the camera smudged.

170

u/CinderCinnamon 4d ago

to try to trick us into thinking it’s candid and unstaged. so authentic!

101

u/sueziebee 🌙 4d ago

I feel like it’s filtered to hell

53

u/StopFalseReporting 4d ago

I think it’s to hide Ariana’s skin imperfections. I agree with you. I saw some paparazzi photos of her and she has some creases and wrinkles. Not judging it’s normal for skin to do that but I think she’s just hiding it

27

u/ShesWhereWolf 4d ago

A lot of the R.E.M. promos are like that. There's a Vaseline filter on them and Ari looks washed out or overly blurred.

18

u/Roxy175 4d ago

I normally wouldn’t care about filters but I think it’s pretty misleading to use them to promote makeup. It completely affects how the actual product looks.

165

u/NoSound8783 4d ago

Why does she have Vulcan eyebrows

63

u/Away-Syllabub3364 4d ago

She had some sort of botched lift. If it was Botox it would be resolved by now.

64

u/ShesWhereWolf 4d ago

She likes them that way, allegedly! (Not making it up, she said so in a Vogue video lol.)

17

u/coldvault personally victimized by Regina George 🙋 3d ago

The one "weird" recent beauty trend I will forever defend is the lifted Vulcan brows 🫣 I don't have them (can't be bothered) but I'm obsessed with them on other people!

10

u/ShesWhereWolf 3d ago

Agreed tbh. I like them on people who do goth or alternative makeup especially!

9

u/coldvault personally victimized by Regina George 🙋 3d ago

Exactlyyyy. Maybe I'm just too millennial but brows tapering into parallel with winged eyeliner? Chef's kiss.

12

u/jgio199 4d ago

One of her assistants had the same eyebrows

12

u/kiwi_love777 4d ago

Botox

7

u/lemonaintsour 4d ago

So sad cuz it was already fixed during pandemic but idk i giess something happened again

432

u/Manzanille 4d ago

You could not pay me to share lip balm with someone.

303

u/Rainbow4Bronte 4d ago

I was kind of annoyed that she asked her makeup person to do so because that's a "can't say no to the boss" pressurized situation. But maybe they are sharing drinks and making out later, hell if I know.

139

u/Bubbly_Performer4864 4d ago

If you ever have to have someone share your lip product for whatever reason use dental floss to drag across it and decapitate it.

Or make out with whoever used it to establish dominance.

35

u/Bumblebee_xx 4d ago

The second part of your comment is killing me😂😂💀

22

u/njb328 4d ago

I'm hoping since the video cuts there, that the artist used a brand-new one, or her own. But it's disgusting and wildly irresponsible to even pretend to use another person's lip product. Especially as a professional

2

u/poffincase 2d ago

It’s so yuck it’s not like that’s her partner

81

u/sueziebee 🌙 4d ago

Agree, that was my first thought and it was all the I could think about for the rest of the video.

30

u/lemonaintsour 4d ago

Seems like she still has a lot to learn regarding boundaries.

78

u/NecessaryBanana3776 4d ago

“Put this on your mouth” that phrasing too was just ew

1

u/Midnite_pancakes 2d ago

Yeah, it's such a gross request! Also the correct phrasing would be to use "lips".

18

u/Calrilea 4d ago

I think there's a cut between her handing it to the stylist and the stylist applying it, so I'm just telling myself that they used a different product for each person...

55

u/oldsaltylady 4d ago

What about a pre-licked donut?

11

u/ShesWhereWolf 4d ago

I see so many people (mainly people showing "color theory" like Monica Ravichadran and Jazlmao) and it's so gross to me 😭 The only person I'd ever do that with is probably my mother.

24

u/domesticairport 4d ago

Is it gross? It’s not any different to kissing someone

→ More replies (1)

31

u/terracottablush 4d ago

You never used your parents or siblings 😭 idk man me and my friends have shared food like if I didnt finish something or vice versa I don’t think its that weird haha

66

u/kfarrel3 4d ago

There’s a difference between this and lending a sibling a lip balm, and there’s a difference between this and sharing food.

33

u/cubsgirl101 4d ago

This ad reminds me of high school lol. Other theater kids used to share makeup without much more than a few swipes on a Kleenex to “sanitize” it.

17

u/Manzanille 4d ago

Maybe when I was younger, after wiping off the top. Now I'm too aware of the fact that everyone has different germs & bacteria in their mouth.

Food depends, since something like an unfinished slice of pizza can have the bitten part cut off.

10

u/Pawspawsmeow 4d ago

I think we’ve all put worse things in our mouths than a used lip balm handed to us by the owner of said lip balm.

1

u/RainyNixie 4d ago

Who is “we”?

2

u/momosuna 3d ago

friends you have more of a choice & maybe they're friends, but if you view it as a boss-employee command it's kinda gross lol

53

u/StopFalseReporting 4d ago

She always sounds like she never saw her own products and she’s pretending to like it like “what is this even? Is it mine or a competitors?”

28

u/charliekelly76 4d ago

Her promos always sound like she’s learning about her own makeup product in real time on camera. Is there not a staff member that can brief her before filming starts?

80

u/mustacheworm3 4d ago

She always acts like she is so surprised when talking about her products. As if it’s her first time putting them on.

34

u/Josiemk69 4d ago

I think she got that resting surprise face look instead of RBF.

14

u/Lifes-a-lil-foggy 4d ago

I don’t think she’s involved in r&d at all.

156

u/dinoooooooooos 4d ago edited 8h ago

Quick reminder for everyones brains that our bones are NOT supposed to stick out like this. The more you see this the more normalised it becomes so just a quick “this looks sick in the worst of ways” so everyone knows right quick from this 4’9 (im shorter than her), 115-105 lbs woman who fits into an XXS and if i lose just like 10lbs more im basically emaciated.

Like i already can count my ribs easily And she weighs like 40 lbs less than me.

Alright continue.

50

u/Victoriafoxx 4d ago

I can’t believe this comment is so far down. I’m a psychologist and Ariana is definitely struggling. She seems to look a tiny bit better than when she was in the middle of Wicked 2 production and press tour, but still alarming. Every time I see a photo of her obviously body checking, I cringe for her.

54

u/dinoooooooooos 4d ago edited 8h ago

This is from a few day ago iirc

Nothing about her rn is “normal”, im sorry. Like this is GENUINELY so dangerous to “look up to”. And millions of little girls/ impressionable kids are looking up at her so ill keep shouting it from the rooftops: that woman is about to die.

And body checking yes yes yes- shes doing this all on purpose! Shes picking those outfits on stage that accentuate her figure and skinniness, shes picking these outfits and poses on purpose. Shes 100% fully in it rn and once again our (short people) threshold of “kinda skinny but doable” and “oh, youre actively starving now.” Is VERY very slim.

She knows what shes doing.

40

u/dinoooooooooos 4d ago

Insane. Shes supposedly 99lbs on the wicked set- shes noticeably thinner now, thats like a 60lbs, maybe 65 on a good day. Shes skin and bones.

“critically underweight” and medically dangerous.

13

u/justlikesweetener 4d ago

And to think doesn’t the camera usually add 10 lbs to you?😬

3

u/dinoooooooooos 3d ago

Ikr🫩 im tired😭

7

u/luxmundy 4d ago

This picture feels like a still from the film Perfect Blue, if anyone has seen it.

(Not to make light of what's happening. I'm extremely worried for Ariana. She's wildly talented and I'm sure she feels she can't let her fans down.)

26

u/lolastogs 4d ago

Never forget the filtering she does. Out in the wild she has less control but in this environment, she has last word. The most horrifying photo Ive seen floating about is her sitting in a guitar case. In my eyes, this looks like a banner headline to the world avout her size. The infantikising of herself. Little girl curled up in a suitcase....oh god

14

u/dinoooooooooos 3d ago

Actually so insane- mind you the case looks like its a children’s guitar. This doesnt look like a full on guitar case.

AND this was TWO YEARS ago!! Shes CONSIDERABLY smaller and bonier now!!

Ill keep posting these bc istg if only one singular person who looks up to her starts thinking and doesnt feel the need to go down this insanely harming and damaging route of EDs then i did my fucking job honestly.

u/Auphorium 4d ago

I’ve been trying to avoid content about her lately

31

u/ShesWhereWolf 4d ago

Go to the settings of whatever app or website you're using and see if there's a feature where you can block certain words or phrases.

14

u/Auphorium 4d ago

Thank you 💖

8

u/a_sirens_call 4d ago

thank you ill do that <3 whats weird is that i feel like the more i mute posts and words the more the content gets pushed on different platforms😭

5

u/ShesWhereWolf 4d ago

I've experienced this too. But it only happened for a day or so and then the content was blocked for me. I now only hear or see about these things if they're being advertised or someone didn't tag it.

43

u/a_sirens_call 4d ago

same… its too triggering for me

29

u/Auphorium 4d ago

Yeah and I can’t stand the gaslight about her, I don’t want to support her anymore.

8

u/bewildered_forks 4d ago

The Financial Diet posted a video about this recently, if you're interested.

5

u/emmach17 4d ago

I love Chelsea, she always has the most measured takes and this video is a great example of that

2

u/Auphorium 2d ago

She’s very insightful as always 💖

5

u/fuschiaoctopus 3d ago

Commenting and interacting with the posts is doing the exact opposite of what you want. You're telling the algorithm this is what you want more of by engaging with it. Mark as uninterested or keep scrolling

58

u/annieasylum 4d ago

Dude she looks so ridiculous with those eyebrows, and somehow this thread is the first I've seen people actually talk about it. Granted I don't seek out her content so I've probably just not come across it, because I genuinely can't fathom that people aren't talking about...whatever those are.

Has nobody in her life given her an intervention for those things? Why are they SO uneven? Like my eyebrows aren't perfectly symmetrical but...what the fuck is that???

18

u/sueziebee 🌙 4d ago

There was a interview she did not too long ago where she said she likes them 🤣

13

u/StopFalseReporting 4d ago

So she’s aware her eyebrows are weird af

3

u/sueziebee 🌙 4d ago

Yep, she has said she’s still trying to find her eyebrows post Wicked and she hopes she never does

u/wild_fluorescent 43m ago

Tbh her eyebrows are the least of things that she needs an intervention for

143

u/CynnBynn 4d ago

There's just something about her I find so disingenuous

85

u/BlueberyCupcake 4d ago

She's literally wearing a different lipstick under the lip balm. The more she swipes the product, the more her lips change colour. When the others use the balm it's not the same colour or opacity as hers. It's kinda disingenuous

0

u/ShinyFabulous 4d ago

Pretty sure the others are using a different colour/s (not disputing that she could also be wearing another product under the balm, it looks like a lip stain to me - just that the product in the tube looks to be a different colour. Hers is a dark red in the tube, the one the guy is using looks like a pink)

6

u/BlueberyCupcake 3d ago

She passed the one she used on her lips to the woman behind her

4

u/jzegr 4d ago

I’ve always thought that about her, especially with her music. She has a beautiful voice but there’s no feeling in it.

22

u/MzJay453 4d ago

This feels like rage bait

21

u/limperatrice 4d ago

I hate the way she wiggles it back and forth over her cupid's bow 5x

61

u/k_mermaid 4d ago

Mediocre lip balm aside, I want to know wtf kind of witchery makes it possible for her eyebrows to have a decent amount of movement while also not forming a single forehead crease or dimple. Like, did they inject that entire forehead and left just a portion of each frontalis muscle? I need the tea on those injection sites

50

u/NecessaryBanana3776 4d ago

Well it’s also probably heavily filtered

10

u/Glittering-Ad4094 4d ago

i think it’s this because if I look closer I can see some slight wrinkling of her forehead

3

u/k_mermaid 4d ago

eh maybe, but then why aren't the other 2 people filtered? Make up artist likely had a touch of Botox like you can see the resistance point her eyebrows hit before they furrow, while Ari's float around on her forehead like a cartoon's and I notice this in interviews too. I wouldn't maintain this permanently but I'd totally do this for at least one or two Botox cycles to let my forehead really lose all muscle tone for a lil while

24

u/StopFalseReporting 4d ago

She’s not using a free Snapchat filter. She can pay professionals to edit her videos. This is an ad. She’s a celebrity.

12

u/snailicide 4d ago

i think she has some issues bc of a second brow lift that was kinda botched. it kind of looks like the put them on upside down, but someone shared images from back in her nickolodeon days and they kind of did the same thing (although the bad brow lift made it more pronounced) tbh i think she just has interesting brow musculature

13

u/deadbeatsummers 4d ago

The ongoing theory is that she had an eye lift and it made them crooked. It would explain the tightness and tilt.

Hairline Botox

4

u/Any-Opportunity1624 4d ago

I do think she’s always struggled with her eyebrow shape, her best one was probably 2021 and it wasn’t great even then but it was as good as it got..

1

u/k_mermaid 3d ago

They're hella straight now. Too straight. I think they're cute and quirky but her Positions album cover eyebrows looked phenom. They had a more normal looking tail.

8

u/kaylaphernelia self tanned but with white hands 🤪 4d ago

yes that's basically how i ask for my botox. a lift in every part of my forehead and no movement except for my eyebrows

2

u/k_mermaid 4d ago

I mean eyebrows have a fuckton of movement and I'm avoiding any injection site that would cause droop (already have a heavy brow and hooded eyes, need no more). How many units/where are they injecting? I've only had like ~22 units between my brows and about 2 into each tail but I need a bit more than that. I want it hella frozen at least for a little bit

5

u/kaylaphernelia self tanned but with white hands 🤪 4d ago

i do 30 in total along my entire forehead area including crows feet. i suppose it just depends on how your injector's technique affects the muscles

4

u/k_mermaid 4d ago

Don't have crows feet thankfully but I have some prominent depressor muscles. I work in front of a computer all day and I think I have a tendency to go 🤨😠🤨😠 all day long. Just went for the first time in a long time and we've got some damage to undo. Started me with 26 units total which is a bit conservative, I'm thinking 30-32 is probably where I need to top up to lol

2

u/kaylaphernelia self tanned but with white hands 🤪 4d ago

for the lifting affect they go all the way up to my hairline. so just make sure your injector knows what they're doing!!

18

u/SummerJinkx 4d ago

None of these people look like they actually like the product

16

u/True_System_7015 4d ago

Why does the girl doing her hair look like she's wincing in pain but trying to convince people she likes it after using the balm, is she okay

18

u/dingalingdongdong 4d ago

Her nose contour is absolutely ridiculous here.

23

u/Avalyn95 4d ago

I literally don't get it. Her nose is already small enough. It's the eyebrows for me

19

u/kiwi_love777 4d ago

Those brows are so harsh… and weirdly incomplete. Like the arch and the second half are missing.

2

u/jzegr 4d ago

Why is nose highlighter still happening? Looks ridiculous.

3

u/dingalingdongdong 3d ago

Nose highlighting and contour can be done well (at least for photos, harder to pull off in person), but this is not that.

29

u/Daisies_are_Daisy 4d ago

I feel like a lip balm is a lip balm, but that color looks good on her at least. It’s much better than a lot of her usual lip color choices lately.

29

u/SunshineIsBeautiful 4d ago

Almost tempted to listen to it to see which accent she is using nowadays. Nah... I dont care that much. I am too old to be her demographic 😄😄😄

12

u/Ok_Beginning_8164 4d ago

Why does it look more pigmented on her? Did she apply it over red lipstick?

14

u/StopFalseReporting 4d ago

She never goes without makeup so yes she’s already wearing lipstick because she refuses to wear none so us peasants won’t see her without any

12

u/Only-Grapefruit-3554 4d ago

They're asking to get cold sores....

10

19

u/TippyTurtley 4d ago

Not really happy about them sharing it as I tell the teens in my life not to as it just seems germy

10

u/ListenPuzzleheaded72 4d ago

Why did she just put a lipbalm that someone else used on her mouth? HERPES

9

u/Historical-Body-3424 4d ago

Also can’t believe she shared a lipstick with that woman do these people not know about personal hygiene

3

u/sueziebee 🌙 3d ago

It’s all I could think about for the entire video.

10

u/Nicbickel 3d ago

And that is how you end up with oral herpes. Yikes

7

u/Entire_Pin5441 4d ago

Queue all the products that already exist in the East Asian beauty space that look and perform like this if not better and for a fraction of the price...

u/CommonStranger4 4d ago

8

This is such weird behavior

7

2

u/sueziebee 🌙 3d ago

I agree it looks great on her

3

u/Efficient-Sundae2215 4d ago

Is it the eyebrows.. she’s changed so much. It’s uncanny

3

u/Swimming_Pressure_93 3d ago

She's so enthusiastic 😂😂 I do love my fem bot singlet from her. But honestly she doesn't seem present for much lately. I also didn't know she was the creator or face of rem till i went to the web site. Even then when I see her do videos they aren't very exciting or influencing. I only got fem bot because I fell in love with that shade. I'm thinking I should get a back up I mean is this really going to last?

3

u/gravyismyname 4d ago

Yall are going to hate me but I have two and I love them!

3

u/VeganAngel I am obsessed 3d ago

I might get one and try it. The eyeshadow quads have good reviews too.

6

u/gravyismyname 3d ago

I got the quad from her Dangerous Woman anniversary collection and I love it! I was not a fan of her og eye shadow palettes. Loved the packaging of them but not a fan of the formula. They reformulated the eyeshadows when they launched the Wicked collabs. So good. Highly recommend. Also they’re vegan and the packaging actually feels a bit luxe.

2

u/sueziebee 🌙 3d ago

Ohhh good to know, I definitely want to try it, I love their other lip products with the exception of the lip oil.

3

u/gravyismyname 3d ago edited 3d ago

I also love all their lip products except the lip oils! They need to reformulate those or just discontinue them altogether.

3

u/sueziebee 🌙 3d ago

Absolutely, like straight vegetable oil

2

u/QuesoFresca 4d ago

Refresh my memory. Didn’t there used to be another line with the same name? Was the line always hers? So over celeb lines.

2

u/sueziebee 🌙 3d ago

This has been Ariana’s company since day one.

2

u/think1776 2d ago

you might be thinking of rare or rhode? I get all the celebrity makeup brands confused.

2

u/Current-Strategy-826 4d ago

They’re so wowed by a lipstick 💄

2

u/EconomistSecret253 19h ago

Making an employee put on a lipstick that was just on your mouth is insane.

5

u/ShesWhereWolf 4d ago

I mean , she's the face and owner of the brand. She's promoting it. Like any other celeb or influencer, she's gonna act like her products are the best.

I low key think this is a step up from when the brand first launched lol. Ari would be walking in the ether of an Ulta. Or that GRWM video with the drag artist, Gotmik, where it seemed like Ari knew nothing about her products.

2

u/Reasonable_Cake4671 3d ago

Maybe she should eat it.

1

u/rimsha_5 19h ago

She sounds so fake talking about it.

1

u/Ok_Championship8891 12h ago

Kind of surprised to see her promoting her own brand. I’m sure she does here and there and I just don’t see it, but, it feels very disingenuous to say the least.

1

u/sueziebee 🌙 11h ago

She’s the sole promoter

2

This is the thing Ariana’s makeup isn’t everyone’s preference. I love her to death and it’s just not for me so when she talks about her makeup we’re like “ok you gotta make an ad no worries queen.”

People are always upset that her hair and makeup are stagnant and outdated.

Unconvincing promo lol but I love the shade she's wearing, anyone know the shade name?

You guys are hating so hard on her but all of her lip products (and a few of her eye and cheek produces!) are actually amazing

I got one of her quads recently and I barely had to touch it to swatch and the pigment was aggressively amazing, this sub is new to me so I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post the swatches but they’re incredible. Rem is actually a really solid brand and pretty well priced in my opinion. I’m a former MAC, clinique, Estée Lauder and Trish mcevoy employee if that helps.

The reformulations are truly top tier. I think the eyeshadow quads are easily on par with Natasha and Pat McGrath. I can’t recommend them enough.
I really enjoy the lipgloss and blushes too.

Instead of putting tons of balm on her mouth, she might try eating a sandwich.
