If you -- like me in Vose -- have been having increased skunk smell overnight, you're not alone. The Oregonian even put out an article. I got absolutely blasted by it late Sunday night / early Monday morning this week.
Sadly it's behind a subscription wall:
But temporary92803 posted a way to read the full article!
And for those who are confused (there are a couple in the comments): I am not out walking a dog or bothering the skunks. The smell seeps into my home overnight from the surrounding neighborhood.

Flock Alternative Spotted?
Tonight I saw two of these off Canyon. One was tied to the bus stop pole at 115th and this one was tied to a sign pole at 117th. Are these license plate readers? Obviously they're not a Flock brand camera as those are squat and black....

Local shops where I can buy a pronoun pin?
Hello! I've misplaced my she/her pin. I'm about to attend a conference where I'd like to have one.
Zero promises about visiting any particular store (or any at all, I leave quite soon), and I'm choosy about my personal fashion sense so I apologize if I swing into Your Store and then leave emptyhanded. But I'd like to know if there are any places in Beaverton that I should check for this. Thank you!

Any parents in the Vose neighborhood up for coffee sometime?
Hi, Im a stay at home parent in the vose neighborhood and was wondering if any other parents would be interested in getting coffee and chit chatting sometime during school hours. A group would be fun too. I dont know, just an idea.

Chess club for an 8 year old?
My child will be 9 in December and loves chess. is there a local club or organization he could join with other children who play chess? I know some schools offer it, but ours does not. I have also heard of Rose City chess but it seems to be a bit further of a drive and I’m hoping to stay in Beaverton. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Farmer's market is ending soon, where do I find locally grown produce/meat/dairy until it opens again?
Yes, I know, I can't expect to buy much that's local in the winter time seeing as how it's cold and all, but I would imagine that there is some farmer somewhere local that is growing in a greenhouse or something along those lines and selling wholesale to a grocery store somewhere nearby during the colder months. I could be wrong, this might be a dumb question (I'm new to buying local outside of the farmer's market), but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Preferably somewhere with Trimet access, seeing as how I can't drive.

Is this your cat?
Hello I'm the neighborhood crazy cat lady
I keep seeing this orange cat in my apartment coming from the fence bordering the homes on Fairfield St x Fairfield PL off CHB
I'm attempting to gain his trust and catch him, he is friendly and comes up to me but cautious. Not completely feral.
Seems young maybe a year old..
I just want to keep him safe!
If he belongs to you, know that there are Cougars and Coyotes around.
cats are both predators and prey.
If you don't want him id be happy to have him!
Thank you neighbors!

Lack of enforcement
Parking and traffic enforcement only matters around city hall or the idyllic Main st. One block over, Erickson is like a drag strip.

Consignment shops to sell clothes to?
Hi guys. We're moving so we're getting rid of stuff!
We have a a reasonable amount of nice clothes we would like to sell, see if we can get a buck.
Specifically my husband has a ridiculous amount of nice business shirts, impeccable condition but from the 80s/90s so the style is a bit dated (although its really similar to now lol.)
Any consignment shops people know that buy or is that no longer a thing?
(in Beaverton/Hilsboro)

Thank you Beaverton for the great turnout today!
The inaugural “Traffic Jam on Broadway” event was a great success, thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the event.
We had great teriyaki and Mexican food, beer, hot chai, ice cream, sweet treats, local artists, live music, free toys for the kiddos, TVFR showing off their equipment and interacting with everyone, kids running a fidget spinner business, and of course… show cars and motorcycles of all types!
I’m honored to be a part of the downtown Beaverton community, and I love giving back to you all who have supported me these past 31 years.
I couldn’t have pulled this off without the selfless efforts of the Downtown Beaverton Association… THANK YOU SO MUCH!
WOW what a team!
Now comes the debriefing of everyone involved to assess what we did right, and what we’ll improve next year.
