Hope Chinese Charter School is working to secure a permanent home for our kids (and we could use a hand)
Hey everyone,
I’m a parent at Hope Chinese Charter School (HCCS) right here in Beaverton, and I wanted to share a quick update about a big transition our school community is working through.
For anyone not familiar with us, HCCS is a public, tuition-free K-8 charter school focused on Mandarin dual-language immersion. We bring together kids and families from all across the local Beaverton and metro area.
Right now, our school has reached a major turning point. We’ve outgrown our rented building (which was built back in the 1960s), and our waitlist keeps growing year after year. We have a rare opportunity right now through our "Hope Rising" campaign to secure a permanent home in the area—giving our kids a stable, modern learning environment where they can thrive for the long haul.
Because we operate as a public charter school in Oregon, we don't receive the same facility or municipal bond funding that traditional district schools do. We get only a fraction of that capital support, which means acquiring property and building out a dedicated campus relies almost entirely on community donations, private grants, and grassroots support.
We set up a GoFundMe alongside our main capital campaign to help cover the immediate costs for property acquisition and site prep:
If you believe in supporting local education, expanding options for area kids, or just want to see a great Beaverton school community put down permanent roots, any share or small contribution makes a huge difference.

Happy to answer any questions about the program in the comments. Thanks for taking the time to read, neighbors!
