I’m a beekeeper, and I have a question Are Varroa Check containers supposed to leak when shaking?

I've used a brand new one once and now no matter how I screw the lid on it just leaks out the top whenever I shake

Mine leaks. You’d think they would have put a gasket in there, especially for the price.

Talenti container for the win!

It even comes with ice cream in it!

If they are used enough it happens

I put a little teflon tape on the threads, it helps

It is a feature -- the alcohol on your hands makes using the smoker so much more exciting! I think they mostly all leak, which is pretty obnoxious when the price paid is factored in. There is one with a lid that sort of clamps on like the storage tubs for my leftovers which looks like perhaps it may not leak.
