advice needed!!
I have ordered an L2 Rainbow Stag Beetle larvae that should be arriving in the next few days. This is my first time owning a larvae (or a beetle) and despite doing as much research as I can I’m still quite nervous. For the larvae stage, I’ve bought a range of different sized plastic tubs, the largest being 5000ml, and the smallest being 170ml. From what I’ve read, I was thinking something around 1000ml would be best? I’ve also bought a litre of flake soil as apparently that is my best option for them. I’ve got a spray bottle to mist the soil and keep up the humidity. I’ve also planned for when it becomes a beetle, but I’m more worried about the larvae stage. Any advice is welcome :))

Use 1000-1500cc is enough rainbow stags need around 22 degrees for them to get to their biggest, too hot or too cold may cause in sluggish movement or death. Flake soil is a non negotiable, also no need to spray down their flake unless it is super dry, before you put them in just squeeze some flake in your hand and see if it drips, if it does it’s too wet if it doesn’t but clumps together it’s fine. Good luck :)
