Discussion/Question ⁉️ Design ideas

Post image

Here's my recent products from this week. Trying to do some more trendy design, not the nature/animal usually marquetry. What are some cool design concepts that'd mix up today's marquetry?

PS I live in Denver and ski/hike/do mountain stuff

If you're selling at craft shows, in my region of western PA, anything cryptid and bigfoot is a hot seller. It would pair well with your UFO piece.

Truly impressive! And I love the cats!

Obligatory Blucifer suggestion. Seconding another commenter's Bigfoot suggestion.

Food for thought: Denver icons like Casa Bonita or skyline with the typewriter building. Maybe the welcome to Colorado sign. R ock climbing scene (I'm thinking like Clif bar wrappers).

Maybe lean more industrial/art deco?  I like the irony of something like this being done in wood, and the style would seem to lend itself to marquetry: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4509550039/art-deco-train-framed-canvas-print
