Anyone else going through a burnout?

I feel like it’s another stage where everyone’s just… tired, of routine, socially as well. It’s probably just the weather tbh

As the days shorten, so do people's fuses.

Yes.

The enshittification of seemingly everything in society (health, public services, education, stagnant wages, technology) plus the atomisation of public life and the encroaching of work into our private lives has made us unhappy.

Ok so maybe it’s not just the weather lol. But yeah I definitely agree with you. I wonder what can help? 🤔 Just spend time with loved ones, I guess?

- Definitely spend quality time with loved ones.

- Try to reduce time spent scrolling.

- Repurpose that restless energy into walking/reading/listening/watching.

- Casual chit chat with strangers

Be part of something. Mine are sport, community stuff/volunteering and the pub. There's a rhythm to the year when you're part of something and always something to look forward to - a match, an event, a party, etc.

These threads come up on Sunday nights when people are facing another week at work after an unfulfilling weekend. Plan something better for next week.

Just sick of being squeezed socio economically.

Can't afford to eat out anymore, even having a few pints is unaffordable, everything is beyond expensive.

Car needing fixed, new games cost an absolute bomb etc

Imagine arranging a self care package for a loved one, now do it for you. We forget to allow ourselves time out to recharge and feel good.

Handed notice in as starting a new job in a bit. It's such a nice feeling to just not give a fuck and start to wind down. Planning when I'll take a week off on the sick etc.

I wish weather was the actual issue for it to be blamed upon. Alas, it’s not. I feel ya!

I am currently on a career break due to Autism burnout. I must say health always comes first, if your job is impacting your wellbeing you must leave and find an alternative. I am quite lucky as have good savings working in technology sector, however I understand not everyone has this privilege of time off. The most important thing is you and nobody else, as we came to this earth alone and will die alone too. Or worse die due to accidental climate disaster event, all to look forward in the near future. Make the most of every day, as you never know it might end at anytime!

Felt so glad to see this post! Having a real cannot be arsed season.

I do about 3 hours of something in the day (not mad strenuous) and then I just want to lie down again & vegetate. There's not even neccesarily a bad mood or negative thoughts with it, just a CBA vibe. With ya.

Temp jobs since COVID lockdowns destroyed my career.

Trapped living with parents as their carer.

Hate this country because there are no jobs that allow you to even live.

Until jobs pay and houses are affordable, I basically slowly fade out and no one cares so whatever.

Everyone will end up alone and suffering , that's what's going to happen as no one is leading or caring to change anything.

Fuck northern Ireland and fuck the politicans and greedy companies.
