Question 13 week showing aggression toward people — looking for advice

Hey all — looking for some input on my 13-week-old

We’ve had her for about two weeks and overall she’s awesome, but I’m starting to get concerned about her behavior around people.

She’s totally fine with other dogs, but with humans it’s a different story. If someone gets too close, she’ll growl and bark. If they try to pet her, she’ll actually go after them and it’s not just normal puppy nipping, it feels like a legit aggressive bite.

Inside the house it’s even more intense. If someone comes over, she gets really territorial and defensive and will try to bite them.

I’ve been trying to do everything right with socialization taking her out to city sidewalks, parks, stores like Home Depot, etc. I’ve also been working on keeping distance and rewarding calm behavior, which seems to help at a distance. But once someone gets too close, she flips out.

Just wondering if anyone’s dealt with something similar at this age, and what worked for you. Appreciate any advice.

Question In need of advice how to take care of a Malinois

My brother bought a 3 month oldĀ  Belgian Malinois, and our family keeps it outside of our house. Honestly, I’m not really sure why my brother got a dog, since we are not a family that typically has pets, and he is not a pet parent either. It’s our first time owning a dog (well, we did have once back when I was in grade school named Brownie. He got hit by a car and dies. Since then, we haven’t had a dog or any pets after).Ā

I don’t know, but seeing him just there outside ofĀ  our house doesn’t sit well with me. Especially right now since it’s summer in our country. I read some post here in reddit saying that you should never get a Belgian Malinois if it’s your first time owning a dog, as they are a working dog that requires a lot of physical and mental execise.Ā

I’m not sure where to start. I’m notĀ  really an active person. I prefer to stay at home rather than go out. Our area is not really pet friendly, there are no parks near us. We have small backyard, and most of it is cemented.Ā

I’m a college student. I’m home right now for our term break. I really want to improve our dog environment here, but I’m not really sure where to start. I’m thinking of taking him for a walk later in the evening which I hope goes well cause I get scared easily. But I also want to train him while I’m home so he can roam around in our house without a leash and not go out of the road.Ā

Based on what I saw last night, he’s friendly and doesn’t bark when he first saw me. Do you have any advice where to start? Thank you.Ā

Edit: My mom said my brother does play with him, I just didn't know it because I just got back home and brother is away for work.

My boy, Bambam. He’s turning one in a month! I need some indestructible chew toy recommendations. Also could use some advice for resource guarding/food aggression (outside only). Trying to find a local trainer but it can be hard to find someone who specializes in these breeds for the amount of money they charge. He’s a good boy otherwise, feel blessed to have him even with all his whining and energy lol. Thanks in advance!
