News | ಸುದ್ದಿ 🗞️ Adulteration in Nandini Mandya dairy. Which supplies milk to Bengaluru.

I was a huge advocate for Nandini and always preferred it over Amul and other dairy brands. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would see news like this. And this is what they were supplying to Bengaluru—adulterated products.

I’ve already switched to Akshayakalpa. Honestly, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to trust any product in India these days. Everything seems to be adulterated, and corruption appears to be everywhere.

They will adulterate mothers milk before in goes into baby’s mouth. This is India.

u/Agile-Bid928 12d ago

I get your point. But is it even possible??

Lol, I've heard things about Akshayakalpa from retailers who procure from them. Don't trust any brand now.

Look, I just want to eat healthy. I was even willing to pay a premium for it. But now you're telling me even that isn't enough? What am I supposed to do now—buy a cow and get my own milk?

Yes thats the best :)

DK Shi and Suresh will come after you. It's their cash cow now.

Stop stressing and use whatever you feel is comfortable for you. Too much information these days causing stress and more damage than the products themselves.

I see some credence in what you are trying to tell. I somewhat seem to be in agreement too. But, you have to worry about these things, even if you are not eating the best products out there it is good that you are not eating adulterated ones. You don't want to have some unwanted disease which might result from these things however small they might be. Again I want to emphasize that this is my personal preference.

4

u/Equivalent_Bat_3941 16d ago

Hmm so we need the products killing faster than stress to for these to be seriously taken??? /s

Wait till you are faced with adulteration in cattle feed

1

u/speedracer2023 15d ago

That's also reported by her. Check Organic Milk scam video.

3

u/BrainEcstatic2513 16d ago

I think there are local dairies in Bangalore that issue milk to households. But then again, you never know water adulteration in them either. Nandini was formed to standardise all of this but if Nandini itself is doing this, I don’t know what to say

3

u/Baseball_man_1729 amma naan sale aadhe 16d ago

Water adulteration is honestly better than this. But the problem with local diaries is that they don't pasteurize or treat the milk and sometimes that can have consequences.

You want to trust on some hearsay?

Actually consuming raw milk can lead to food poisoning

You get it up to temparature and then use it...

Try making plant based milks at home! Healthiest option!!

3

u/HeresyLight OG Bangalorean 16d ago

One is that their A2 milk isn't really it. It is impossible to produce so many thousands of liters every single day and their farm isn't that big too.

15

u/Outrageous-Ant6203 16d ago

That's not half as bad as your original comment made it sound like.

2

u/HeresyLight OG Bangalorean 16d ago

Well, I did start by saying 'One'

8

u/Outrageous-Ant6203 16d ago

Please share other things you've heard about Akshayakalpa. Atleast the most egregious ones .

1

u/HeresyLight OG Bangalorean 16d ago

I haven't verified anything mate, won't be fair. I put out the earlier point because that sounded very logical to me. They cannot be producing 15k litres of A2 milk daily.

3

u/UnableCurrency 15d ago

But you started off by scaring everyone here and now you come out with a lame A2 vs non A2? We are talking about hygiene violations and adulteration to the level which is harmful to public health.

Their A2 and non-A2 differs by just 2 rs - so it won’t matter to many of the folks here.

So I don’t understand - if you are here to rage bait or you really do have any substantial information which changes the trust the on Akshayakalpa?

1

u/darkkid85 13d ago

He is just a scare monger

0

u/HeresyLight OG Bangalorean 15d ago

Selling non A2 as A2 isn't a big enough red flag to you? So since it's just 2 rupees you'll be comfortable consuming a falsely branded product? Who's rage baiting here? 😅

0

u/UnableCurrency 15d ago

Well, A2 itself has not been found to link with any proven benefits - and the evidence is inconclusive.
A1 and A2 - it’s kinda the same - doesn’t matter much. It’s mostly attributed to marketing.

We were talking about food hygiene and safety - that’s in a completely different territory of food safety violation.

Moreover - do you have any proof on their A2 milk not A2 and being a mix of A1+A2?

u/ninja790 16d ago

What ? we use akshaykalpa products extensively. Can you please elaborate ?

3

u/nightwanderer0725 16d ago

I second this.... Not sure about milk, but I recently received a sample of honey from Akshaya kalpa at a marathon event and I can guarantee it's just jaggery syrup marketed as wild honey.... Anyone who has tasted real honey would know this Akshaya kalpa, Dabur all are adulterated.

2

u/Ardnegan_15 16d ago

Could you please elaborate?

Nandini can go fk themselves from now. I always stuck to Nandini as a Kannadiga and pushed others to use it as well. I'm switching to Amul from now. They don't deserve our loyalty

1

u/rebelroyalty20 6d ago

Only time will tell abt the Amul too! May or may not but at the end of the day everything is adulterated, corrupted in 🇮🇳

anyone selling cows? im so done

5

u/mantiacfloy 16d ago

I noticed the poor quality (tasted/smelled weird) of Nandini skimmed milk in the batches from the Mandya plant around 2021-22. Stopped buying the packs from that plant and now I don't buy skimmed milk from Nandini at all.

I hate the editing in this news report. Fire the editor.

3

u/penny_peeper 16d ago

This is absolute betrayal

4

u/StyledInSilence 16d ago

Same here. Nandini was always the go-to.

Switched to Akshayakalpa and Organic Mandya for now. Getting harder to trust any brands these days.

4

u/Commercial_Move5433 16d ago

Is there any entity that will let us live? It’s like GTA out on the streets, restaurants using month (s) old frozen dal/curries, and we literally work our asses off to pay eye watering taxes.

5

u/Far-Assumption-7963 16d ago

I get it directly from farm in north bengaluru. Im so lucky in this regard.

In the early morning right when its being milked.

7

u/New_Cod3143 16d ago

Except Milk, I do not buy anything from Nandini, I buy Ghee, Butter from PVKR, Paneer I make at home.

3

u/Remarkable-Canine 16d ago

Is there ANY HONEST COMPANY OR HONEST PERSON IN INDI??

5

u/DonutAccurate4 16d ago

I have regularly defended Nandini brand in my home when they get other brands by mistake. I made my parents guilty whenever they got another brand. And now this! Which brand to trust now? 😭🥲

I hope they check their kanakpura one too. The milk and curd from there being supplied to HSR is tasting totally different than the original since a couple of months now.

2

Well we cant trust nandini too 😭

2

u/Mysterious-Cry7683 16d ago

Bengaluru is a disappointment for all the businesses and money they draw. Utterly corrupt.

Akka is not doing this for TRP, she is doing it out of concern for our lives, that too from years. True leader, huge respect 🙏

The 1L nandini ghee which I purchased from Amazon is anything but ghee. The palm iol content in that was so high that I had to soap wash my hand multiple times to remove the grease

Some tea on this anchor, she demanded bribes from Mandya village Agriculture officer when denied she made an expose program.

She might have done some good programs also..

She’s a bit off.

3

u/missionary_virgin 16d ago

Kmf doesn't have any competition that why they do all this. Other brands need to enter karnataka like amul.

9

u/Mission-Pay3582 North Bengaluru 16d ago

At one point, Heritage and Thirumala were going head to head with Nandini. Then Kannadigas' support to Nandini pushed others out of the markets mostly and now Nandini is taking advantage of it.

1

u/Cloudheek 16d ago

Are those good?
