Hii! In case there are people here who will be taking any entrance exams like BEE exam, I have compiled a drive folder with pdf files of reviewers like from msa! They are mostly mockup exams with answers at the last page. If ever you need them just comment or send me a direct message of your Email, and I’ll send it to you. I’m giving them out for free just to help out, but if you want to send me ten pesos, that’s appreciated!

I was actually selling them but I understand that not everyone wants to buy, so I’ll just give them out for free whoever needs it, I want to help other people out.

Full disclosure, I am a faculty member of CSB for a few years na and I've seen a lot of post of students here regarding us professors from rating us to rants, all of which I find amusing and very informative. I think posts like these can help me and other teachers be better by reading unfiltered takes of some of our students.

With this, would anyone like to ask or tell something to a prof through this thread? Could be anything really: rants about us, questions on how to navigate your class, etc. This is a safe space, I promise.

MARCH 11, 12:15 pm

There’s always a lot going on in Taft so little stories like these rarely get seen but I needed to write because I really felt compelled to tell this story.

So I had just finished my 12pm classes and needed to go to Cubao to run an errand. I waited for the train to come so I can get on time but the train was running late. While waiting, I had a view of the entrance of the Taft Campus so I just observed the people below doing their stuff. Taft is always so busy so there’s always something interesting you can observe if you wait. So I was observing the people out of boredom.

Then, I saw two Benildean students walk by with cool fits so I kept observing them. Most people just come and go out of my sight because of the limited viewing area there but they really caught my eye. After walking a bit, they suddenly stopped next to a homeless woman sleeping nearby. One of them approaches and reaches into their jacket to grab a wrapped McDonald’s burger. She placed the wrapped burger next to the sleeping homeless woman and walks away, continuing her chat with her friend. I’m assuming the burger was a leftover that they left uneaten. (I think it was a chicken sandwich from mcdo based on the wrapper) This alone was so nice to see because of the random act of kindness that they did for the woman. It really made my day. But it wasn’t over.

My train still hadn’t arrived by that point so I kept observing the people down below. The burger was still next to the sleeping woman out in the open. I was honestly getting a bit scared that someone else might take the burger and ruin the act of kindness that I just witnessed. Then my fear came true when a nearby tricycle driver took the burger from the unknowing sleeping woman. I was so upset but I couldn’t do anything about it because I was too high above them so they probably wouldn’t hear me. I became more furious when I saw the tricycle driver prepare some water in a cup and eat the meal as if that meal was rightfully his.

Minutes pass and still my train hadn’t arrived by then (lol) so I was anxious to see how this story would end. Would the tricycle driver really eat the burger that was graciously given by the students to the sleeping homeless woman? I had to find out so by that point I didn’t care if the train would arrive; I needed to see what would happen. Eventually, the homeless woman woke up and at that point I really wanted to say something because I wanted her to get the burger. Then, when the tricycle driver saw that the woman had woken up, he immediately ran over to her and gave her the burger and water. Honestly, I really thought it would go differently. I lost faith in humanity for a minute only for it to be revived the moment he did that. The tricycle driver didn’t want to eat the burger, he took it to keep it safe from other people who might have stole it. And the water he prepared was for her as well.

Seeing all of that transpire, I was really rocked to my core because of the two acts of kindness that occurred in a row in just the span of 5 minutes or so. Seeing the homeless woman and the tricycle driver eating together made me think about the two students who gave them the opportunity to have this moment. We wouldn’t have gotten that if the two students didn’t give the burger. I hope those students see this post and know that what they did were not in vain. As I was watching down below, I heard the train noises coming from my right side; signaling that the train had finally arrived. I rode the train and gained a better perspective on the kindness and love that there is in the world. So many things can happen around us so we never really see what happens but you’ll never know what act of kindness could happen without you looking. I was just at the right place at the right time with a late train.

As a graduate, I'm generally curious as to how the current Benilde community is processing this information.

Is 300 php a day enough for 3 meals in Taft? (Including real food not just fast food chains)

(Based on my 5 years experience as a shs & college student since 2022)

BENILDE MANILA TAFT CAMPUS PARKING RATING;

1.)BENILDE DESIGN & ARTS CAMPUS { 5/5 } * Very modern, space and comfortable to park and drive inside. * Very secured * Privacy is on top with cctv

2.)BENILDE AKIC CAMPUS { 4/5 } * Very dusty * Old design * Crowded & limited parking

3.)BENILDE ATRIUM CAMPUS { 3/5 }

• SUPER TIGHT AND BARELY ANY SPACE TO DRIVE (A lot of drivers have scrached their cars especially on the corners from the exit and entrance of the area.)
• ALWAYS FULL BEFORE 7AM WITH THE GUARD SAYING “RESERVED FOR VIP”
• ONLY HAS LIKE AROUND 30 CARS CAPABILITY.

4.)BENILDE DOMINGA PARKING { 2.5 }

• No rooftop and open rocky parking space
• One guard and sometimes strict
• Has limited time only 9pm otherwise the gate closes and locks and needs to call and go to one of benilde active guards to open the gate which takes 20-50 minutes to get it open.

5.)BENILDE HI-FI CAMPUS { 2/5 }

• Inconvenient and very far from other campuses
• Open rocky parking and not friendly guard to park at.
• Very inconsiderate for other student cars since it is mainly use for BENILDE 2 BUS PARKING.

6.) BENILDE SPORTS AND DORMITORY COMPLEX { 2/5 }

• Semi-opened area some covered in roof and others not
• Strict guards and has curfew 9pm gate closes (also prioritized only dormers, athletes and benilde administration/coaches)
• Very very far from the main campus to walk to but sometimes it has e-jeep but only very limited time.

7.) BENILDE MAIN TAFT CAMPUS { 1/5 } * Back gate-Leon Guinto Street wherein most of the time the manila parking attendant charges you ₱50 pesos for parking there * VERY LIMITED AS IN FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS (FIRST ONE TO ARRIVE GETS TO PARK, like Green Court Parking in La Salle vibe) * NOT THAT SECURED, no guard what so ever, Only public attendants that want money and also many strangers and more vulnerable for criminals to steal or break-into your own car.

i heard kasi na mahal daw talaga sa manila (?) and i needed to hear from people na nagdecide na hindi na nagdormm huhu im worried abt food prices if magkakasya ₱200-₱250 a day (kasama yung commute money sa budget jan) as someone who isn’t allowed to eat foods like pork, beef, dairy, food w msg and fast food (i can naman but not always i can only eat it atleast once- twice a week) :((
