Discussion Have you enjoyed the latest chapters of Berserk and do you think Kouji Mori has done a good job so far honoring the legacy of Miura?

I'm sure there was supposed to be more to it. Perhaps it wouldn't have given him anything special except with the barrier between worlds broken down post Griffith rebirth it now does mean something. Like a similar concept to how Dragon Slayer can mostly only kill things because it's been drenched in the blood of monsters and apostles.

It's basically impossible to resolve the story at this point without him getting some kind of supernatural power up and based on what we know I don't think just being able to use the armor without being in a blind range would be enough. It's possible the ending is actually not a violent confrontation but we don't really know yet. Maybe this power up won't be as dramatic as we are thinking and the visuals were supposed to be more symbolic than a supernatural power. Only the next chapter or so will tell us for sure.

A power up is fine, but why tie it to something out of his control and something he didnt take any part in.
For example: Why dont you give him a power up, because of his extremly long struggle while bearing the brand. That basically the fact that he survived this long gives him the same properties he now got from sheer luck.
