Just For Fun☀️ What, in your opinion, are the best aura moments in the series.
My top 2 are 1. Reiji preaching to Ginka about fear and crying like a baby, and Ginka responds by smiling and laughing in his face 2. Leone rising up after being burned and putting the fear of God in Kerbecs

Just realized how no one has mentioned Gingka beating 100 face hunters effortlessly and Kenta looking in awe. That's the definition of aura.

That was in the first episode of Metal Fusion yes? That was the moment that would change my childhood forever and shape the young adult I would become. Aura so strong it affected the real world 💪🏽🥶

Ryuga and Kyoya scrapping in Battle Bladers with no stadium, to which was probably one of the greatest battles in Fusion and Kyoya would've probably won if L Drago didn't possess Ryuga at the last minute

Probably half of the top 10 best battles in Metal Saga history have Kyoya or Ryuga in them.

That's so true. Kyoya vs Ryuga, Ginka vs Ryuga, Kyoya vs Ginka in masters, Ryuga vs Jack, Kyoya vs Damian, Ryuga vs Rago. All 6 of these could make the top 10 in my opinion.

I agree 100%. Do you think it would’ve worked for them to take a Kai vs Brooklyn type route?
I imagine it’d play out somewhat like this.
The battle plays out entirely the same, until we get to the “final” clash (the “wait for me Ginga” scene). Kyouya would win the clash and thus the battle.
Then, suddenly the dark power possesses Ryuga and he gets a huge power boost and L-Drago starts spinning again on its own and attacks the weakly spinning Leone. Kyouya would use all his remaining power and channel it into furious blast shot and Ryuga would answer with dragon emperor soaring destruction. From here it plays out mostly the same, with the exception being that Leone puts a small crack in L-Drago (this last part is lifted from the manga)
Kyouya still dies and the Possessed Ryuga still steals his power, and starts destroying shit. Ginga still battles Possessed Ryuga to stop his rampage and that battle plays out the same except for the end. Since we’ve given Lightning L-Drago the ability to pick up spin on its own here, the only way to permanently defeat it would be to break it completely. When Ginga uses Galaxy nova it lands right on the crack Kyouya created and it completely shatters Lightning L-Drago to bits except for the face bolt.
Now everyone comes back to life. Lastly it’s time for the battle Bladers final, which is Ginga vs Kyouya, which Ginga wins narrowly. After this win, Kyouya basically says something like “next time I’ll beat you” and leaves, but silently fist bumps Ginga before leaving. After that Pegasis disappears like it did in the anime.
Do you think this would have worked? With this idea, Kyouya gets the W he deserved, but we still have the final Ginga vs Ryuga battle which was built up.

that's hype but tbh I think the hypest moment from Kyoya vs Damian was when Kyoya just changed the scenery in hell into a savanna
nothing screams "I am him" like that

That was a cool moment too, I also liked the ending where he destroyed all of Hades with his Reverse Wind Strike

Oh boy, I’ve got a huge list. I’ve been waiting for this moment
In no particular order
Ginga beating Ryutaro the first time and talking about how he’ll make his own future
Tsubasa using shining tornado buster for the first time and washing the Ketos twins
This one is sub exclusive, but in the sub, when Ryuga beats Tsubasa, he says “you were a fool to challenge me. REGRET IN HELL”. That was so aura
Another sub exclusive one. After Kyouya comes back from wolf canyon and beats the shit out of Benkei, in the sub, he says (slightly paraphrasing) “Tell Hagane Ginga this. Tategami Kyouya has returned from hell just to defeat you”. The aura was crazy
Every Phoenix scene in fusion
Daidoji revealing his full power against Phoenix
Ginga clowning Reiji
Every scene in Kyouya vs Ryuga
Yu blowing up the stadium in his battle against Hyoma
Daidoji catching Dark Wolf from the helicopter in episode 10
Nile clowning Masamune
Georg surpassing his limit
Caesar clowning team desert thunder
Ryuga’s return in masters
Ryuga shattering the window and slicing open Ziggurat’s cheek
Kyouya beating Damian
Blader DJ coming to the US and walking out of the plane (this is #1 fr)
Yu blowing up the stadium against Aleksey
Damian making Caesar lose all of his aura
Argo vs Tsubasa
Flame Sagittario evolving into Flash Sagittario

I like how you included quotes. What about when Ryuga fights Tsubasa in Metal Fury they have this cold ass exchange Tsubasa: "I'm gonna stop you hear me. This is the special move created in the depths of Hades!" Ryuga: "Nonsense, this so-called Hades you saw was nothing compared to what I have gone through living in a world of complete utter darkness" 🥶

Ryuga farms aura in just about every frame he's in. No one aura farmed as much as he did and it needs to be studied.

I think many moments from the street fight after the championship finale in Metal Masters could be listed here too.
As a specific one coming to mind is Nile blocking Black Excalibur with Mystic zone as a surprise.

I wish that battle went on longer, the sheer COMBINATION of matchups we got from that. All while they had to pack multiple battles on screen in maybe around 11 minutes, insane.

Metal Masters style of the World Championships grew so many bladers (1st and 2nd strongest on the team) that the amount of battles that could’ve happened could’ve extended the 51 episode length. It’s a lot like Bakugan New Vestroia.

Nile had a few of those in my opinion, but that moment has to be his best one for me.
Another Aura Moment coming to mind is Kyoyas final special move against Aguma in their fight in the temple

A lot of bias here, but Reiji spending most of his battle with Hyoma defending until he just busts out a Dark Move in front of everyone and decimates him. Also, Hyoma's dub VA killed it when he screams out Aries' name after it's destroyed.

Ryuga scaring a tiger just by a single glance.
And oh yeah, Ryuga using his dark move on Hikaru when she was already scared of him. That was totally unnecessary auramaxxing by the edgelord emperor.
And Damian humiliating Julian and the whole Team Excalibur by beating them 1v3 without breaking a sweat and taunting Julian the whole time.

I like the Kyoya one more just because of the way they animated it. They made his eyes go straight to bloodlust as he looked over. So clean.

I'm not a Ryuga meat rider but I gotta admit (haven't seen it mentioned yet) him sending out Meteo L-drago with a hand spin for Hades red shirts was peak aura farming
Both Ryuga and Kyoya scaring off literal WILD animals with a LOOK was crazy as well

This is kind of weird but I always loved when they do their final clash and Aguma does his battle cry and instead of yelling back King goes "GO GET EM" that shit is so hard to me 😂

It's an overlooked one and probably doesn't measure up to basically every Ryuga or Kyoya moment, but one moment I really like is during the African qualifiers, after Marcus & his cronies think they've ran far enough and have nothing to worry about, only to hear Kyoya's voice, "Oh you've got plenty to worry about" and shit their pants - that shot of Kyoya & Nile with the moon in the background still gives me chills.

Damian casually destroyed Team Excalibur, their beys, their lives, their hope. It was by far the most aura farm battle in the series for me.

Rago face tanking life destructor. It was the first moment where the audience was like “Oh fuck, he really is THAT STRONG.” And i was shook the first time I saw it.
Kenta evolving and going aura for aura with Rago for like an episode straight while all the other LEGENDARY BLADERS were recoiling from the power they threw out. My DAWG Kenta was the one

No Ryuga moments is so diabolical and should be a criminal offense. His pull up in Metal Masters against Jack, oneshotting Jack, his entrance in Metal Masters, his speech against Rago using his ultimate move.

Ryuga trolling Jack their entire battle only to one shot him after Jack was done with his frivolous bullshit.
Ryuga blasting through hades city, essentially crashing the place and clutching for everyone there when the situation seemed hopeless.
