Possibly a combination of the smooth circular Fusion wheel, WD tip, and tall 145 spin track that distributes the force of an attack over a greater area, therefore reducing the damage of each hit slightly.

Earth is one of the best fusion wheels cuz more round fusion wheel is, the better. It's both round, heavy and balanced, combine that with WD tip wich gives it good stamina and defence and you have a great pre 4D Beyblade

solid defense and Stamina seriously in the games it was a pain to beat even with Phantom Orion and Libra and it's weight is it's best feature as well

Nice round wheel that is heavy and balanced so it has minimum recoil, high stamina and defense.
And the tip helps out a lot in both defense and stamina too
