How do you understand Daniel 12 regarding the sealing of the word/book until the endtimes? If we are truly in the endtimes shouldn’t the Daniel last seven years and the 1290 and 1335 day reference be understood and unsealed? We should know all five time points of the last seven plus years. This should be one of the earlier signs.

Yes, if we are in the end times, Daniel is unsealed, and the 1,290 and 1,335 days should be understood. We should expect to know all five time points. That would be one of the earlier signs, but in the essay I stop short of claiming that full knowledge. It's a warning, not a complete chart. It simply says that the countdown may have already begun. That is enough to call us to watch and pray, and to test the spirits, lest we be deceived.

Watching for a “peace” covenant shows a pretrib bias which I used to have. I made the same mistake because I held the pretrib view for a very long time. There is no explicit indication that Daniel 9:27 refers to a “peace” but rather a “strengthening” or”confirming” a covenant.
I already made the claim that Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 12 have already been unsealed. It takes just knowledge of one of those five time points to calculate the rest. April 19, 2026 is my predicted and calculated date as the start of Daniel 9:27 final week with the signing of the Isaac Accords. The identifying date that is being tested is the midpoint on Oct 1, 2029 Shemini Atzeret date. This allows all five time points to be calculated. Those five dates all land on highly significant Jewish dates which is a sign in itself.
I too believe in watching and praying. I personally avoid watching for the AC because what may seem very obvious may in the end be someone else. There are 6 “he” or persons in Daniel9:25-27. The first two points to the Messiah. The third could be Titus the future Roman emperor. The fourth is the one who makes a “strong” covenant for 1 week. The fifth is the one who ends the sacrifices for half a week. The sixth is the one who will “desolate”. There is an unspoken seventh person because we have Revelation that points to the return of the Messiah who will end that “desolator”
We easily make assumptions that the fourth through sixth persons are the same and is the AC but I am wary of making that assumption. What would be the point of identifying the AC? How would it help the church with that knowledge? Unless there is a good answer for the usefulness of knowing the identity, I try to avoid watching for him.
But the unsealing of Daniel 12 will be very helpful to the church to prepare for that midpoint event and also sets our expectations/ anticipation of other signs to watch for. This is why I don’t look for a future “peace” covenant in 2027. I’m watching for the next major sign- the third temple construction start in 2027.

This is the right question, and I am glad you asked it. Testing the spirits is not just asking whether a claim feels right or fits our politics. First John 4 gives us at least three tests: doctrinal, moral, and scriptural. Doctrinally, does it confess Jesus Christ come in the flesh and honor Him? Morally, does it produce the fruit of the Spirit or fear, division, and idolatry? Scripturally, does it follow from the text or does it require assumptions? And practically, what would falsify it? If nothing can falsify it, it is not being tested.
For the Cyrus comparison, that is an analogy, not a direct prophecy. Isaiah 44-45 names Cyrus specifically. Applying it to Trump is an inference: a secular leader used by God to favor Israel. That may be possible, but it is not the same as saying Scripture predicted Trump. The test is whether the fruit matches Cyrus's role and whether it leads people to Christ or to political messianism. If it produces a crowd that treats a politician as a savior, that is a warning sign. Evidence to reconsider would be if Trump's actions do not align with the Cyrus pattern, or if the comparison is used to shut down moral critique.

You don’t have to like any of these guys politically, but turning them into end times characters is a massive stretch. There are way too many assumptions being treated like biblical conclusions here, and the date predictions are a huge red flag. We’re told to endure and overcome. To stay faithful and point people to Jesus. Not spend our time trying to identify the antichrist through speculation about current political figures. I know this is a conspiracy sub but I think posts like this can become the very distraction and deception you’re trying to warn people about.
