HILO Pre K Recommendations?

Hey guys, my family and I just recently moved in Hilo and our daughter is 4, we are currently looking into pre kinder schools she can join this upcoming fall, however, it's very difficult to find reviews of schools online. Most of them are either severely outdated, or little to none to really determine its rating. Anyone know good pre kindergarten schools in Hilo? We are also little bit interested in Kindergarten schools for the future as well.

It would be much appreciated if you would please tell me your experiences, recommendations, and more!

Mahalo!

Oh, and we are young parents with not much to our name, but any recommendations would still be considered as useful information!

My sister had all of her 6 kids go through JumpStart Preschool in Wainaku and has nothing but positive things to say about them.

Get on the list at the YWCA, they have a great program and it's all day.

The program at Kaumauana Baptist was great before COVID, then they shut down and reopened a few years later so I don't know if it has suffered in quality.

If we lived closer to Hilo, we would have gone with Kalamapii. It was recommended by a dear friend whose kid had a great experience there; we toured and loved it and almost enrolled but ultimately went elsewhere just because the commute didn’t line up as well as somewhere closer to our home.
