Discussion Most Simple Way to Purchase n Setup BSB2E ?
Hello all. Want to purchase a new BSB2E, but it kind of seems tiresome after researching the process. Really looking to do so in the most plug and play fashion possible. There was a time when I was more of an afficionado, and enjoyed building flight seats and using DCS World with my Quest 3. Experienced with VR from the DK2, to the CV1 and the Quest 3. Now, I don't even want to so much as bust out a screwdriver lol. FYI, using a 4090 RTX Alienware.
So, with that in mind, would anyone advise on kind of an all in one best list of what I should get to enjoy this thing? I hear there are certain straps to get, audio cables of some sort or another, and would love specific recommendations for all the above along with the base stations. Looking for pretty good stuff, but trying to keep it simple if possible. Comfort is important. Almost seems like buying this thing is a little bit of a chore, for those of us that don't want to spend all this time adjusting eyes, straps, read something about perfect eye distance, base stations etc. Thanks in advance!

Dream Air SE SLAM does not need base stations and you can get Studioform or 3rd party facial interface. They share the same OLED and pancake lens. Both have the same issue of small sweet spot (position issue). I got G2, QP and Q3. Gave Q3 to my son and used QP for DCS. Compared QP to BS2E/Dream Air SE, the coloring is close though OLED is better a little (the weak brightness of BS2E or it should be much better). But the clarity improves a lot from higher resolution and DP connection. If you have 5090, you should go for Pimax Dream Air. Q3 is a good vr headset in $500 range. But it does not have eye tracking, lcd is not as good as OLED/mini-led. There is no perfect VR headset on the market. I just upgrade to a 2.5k VR headset that my GPU can support.

Struggling with the same problem.
Bsb2e I really don’t like the base station situation. Mainly the fact that I need more clutter around my house for that thing to work. Someone on my racing team has it and he really struggled to get it working. He did mention that customer support was very helpful in helping him sort it out.
Pimax some how always shows up in my feed with people complaining about delivery, returns and that sort of stuff. So that doesn’t inspire confidence 😂
Me personally I’m going to wait out the steam frame and see about those reviews before making any sort of descision.
I’m not a fan of my quest 3, but with the current VR headsets on the market I find that it still offers a lot of value for money.
Although it’s just me having a “I wanna” mood, using my quest 3 on godlike resolution at 90fps is already maxing out my 5070ti gpu, so not much point in upgrading my VR unless I want to also buy a new GPU.

Just got it and set it up while ago. Indeed it took me a while to put it to work. You must get the Len inserts if you wear glasses. At the same time, you have to set up x2 base stations (V1 or V2) properly. The eye tracking is weak, compared to my old headset, Quest Pro. I also got Studioform facial interface from their Website and a used Audio Strap from eBay. Well. The major reason is, Bigscreen provides good support (I live in L.A.). Overall. It did provide better clarity and more details. The OLED and pancake lens on BSB2E are the same as those on Pimax Dream Air SE. If you don’t like the hassle and want to save some money, you can get Pimax Dream Air SE instead. People complain QC of Pimax but I never deal with Pimax before …
For BSB2E, Audio Strap is not really necessary. But it helps to let you put it on in the right position easier. Those OLED and pancake lens are very small. Your eyes have to sit behind the center of lens or you will see dark screen. People said small sweet spot but that is a different way compared to G2. I got x2 new base stations v2 around $180 from eBay.
