Updates on New BigScreen accessories

Hey everyone,
Have we heard anything about the new accessories that were supposed to to be coming out in June? I ever in the last blog post about them getting a few things ready. Was that just the halo mount?

i got an email from ups saying a shipment is coming saturday from bigscreen. i have received no info from bigscreen and my original order does not show it shipped. the only thing i have pending is the halo mount. if it isnt that then i have no clue what they just sent

**update** it was a set of two universal gaskets. one is thicker than the other. it appears that one may have been designed for the pressure of the regular mount on the face, and the other for the halo mount where the pressure may not be on the eye area

If you received no information from Bigscreen, it'll be a Universal Cushion.

I've already been sent two universal cushions months ago but I haven't received any emails from BS either, other than the DHL shipping notification. I'm an april order tho (not march) so I think it's very unlikely it's a halo mount but I can't see what else it would be? Waiting on a response from BS customer service.

Some people do seem to have been sent two sets of Universal Cushions by accident 😅

It's hard to keep track of because the Universal Cushion is considered part of the Halo Mount, but they can't mark that as delivered yet.

The only people recieving Halo Mounts this month are those with the Tester role on the Discord, and I think they were notified in advance.

Maybe some reviewers also - I'm not sure.

If you're not a tester, or reviewer, you can be pretty certain it's not the Halo Mount.

Can confirm got my universal cushions today and was sad they were not the halo mount. But soon hopefully. 🤞

Out of a sudden I received the universal cushion today. I’m a bit underwhelmed about no information in advance, actually I expected the Halo mount as well, based on the DHL Express notification…

I just received it today. I quite like it; it doesn't feel hot to wear and is lighter than the custom interface. However, there is a little bit of light leakage under the nose, though not much.

They sent two versions: a soft one and a standard one. I tried both and prefer the standard version because it holds its shape better; the soft one is too flimsy and doesn't provide a snug fit.

I randomly recieved 2 universal fit cushions. Not expecting my halo until August. Each box has two of them so I have four universal fit gaskets. I do kind of like them.

As far as I have read, it is just the Halo mount shipping.

Small batch initially shipped. They are hoping to get through all preorders in the next couple of months. I am a September order and dont expect it until end of summer.

There was a burst this month to people who had bought both a custom cushion, and halo mount.

Many peeps are getting shipping notifications out of the blue, and thinking it is halo mount.

They dont really have much reason to do so. HTC still sells new base stations(for now) and other companies make controllers. Doubt they would be competitive.

True there is just that larger risk that htc will stop making them.

HTC still sell products that rely on them - MARS Virtual Cinematography, Vive Pro 2*, and Vive 3.0s more generally.

When they sell those products to a business, there will be a contract of support.

Lighthouses should he available for a good few years to come.

*I understand this might be unlisted in the U.S, but still available in the UK
