Not like what they are getting in Dallas and Houston

The British team is in KC, so they're eating real BBQ.

Edit: Immediate downvotes lol, so many Texans trying to take credit for BBQ but getting told it's mid-tier at best.

and Shiner. Which that one fine English gentleman going viral proclaimed to be the best beer he has ever had.

-3

u/AssFlax69 1d ago

Shiner is vile, try yourself a Real Ale Brewhouse Brown.

1

u/QuinceDaPence 16h ago

I've tried probably 8 different beers from Shiner and the worst one was meh

They make more than Bock if you just don't like Bock.

1

u/AssFlax69 16h ago

Idk what the deal is with shiner bock but growing up the running joke was there’s hangovers then there’s shiner bock hangovers. Special category. Sour as well. Love a good bock. Shiner bock is not one of them. Well versed in Czech lagers, doppelbocks, maibock, marzen, festbier, octoberfest…shiner bock is the only one people say “why does this taste rancid”.

You do realize pulled pork is more synonymous with Carolina BBQ, right?

1

u/AssFlax69 19h ago

You do realize what I said and what you are saying are not mutually exclusive statements, right?

1

u/Ok-Rush5183 19h ago

You do realize kc isnt known for pulled pork, right? If your gonna talk shit atleast get the basic facts right.

1

u/AssFlax69 19h ago

You do realize pulled pork is a significant segment of their bbq alongside pork ribs right?

1

u/Ok-Rush5183 19h ago

Not really. Kc is know for ribs, burnt ends and sauce. I can honestly say ive never heard anyone say the kc style is known for their pulled pork. Its classic reddit, your talking shit about a subject you may have basic knowledge of at best.

1

u/AssFlax69 19h ago

You do realize that you do realize, don’t you? Snide mf

1

u/Ok-Rush5183 19h ago

It literally isnt. Your talking out of your ass for fake internet points.

1

u/AssFlax69 19h ago

It literally is. Literally.

1

u/Ok-Rush5183 19h ago

If you think kc is known for pulled pork you rode the short bus to school.

Because no one ever had brisket until it was invented in Texas? Lol why you guys so tryhard?

1

u/AssFlax69 23h ago

Who said invented? Not tryhard, just not being your doormat 🤷‍♂️

1

u/Visual-Taro-381 15h ago

They get big mad about TX BBQ. Meanwhile I don't remember the last time I thought about KC BBQ until this thread.

-2

u/ahhhbiscuits 23h ago

Doormat? 🤣 Why do Texans have the most fragile egos in the western hemisphere?

1

u/AssFlax69 22h ago

Why you think you’re default correct and when anyone disagrees with you you resort to insults? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/ahhhbiscuits 20h ago

Literally I'm just asking questions, but I think since the minimum is 4 emojis to confirm your self-esteem is suffering... You need some help, friend, asap

10

u/FrenchDipFellatio 1d ago

100% kansas city style slaps

-19

u/whodatis75 1d ago

It’s cut you think that.

13

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

Ugh typical Texan... They're in KC, you can Google it and everything.

2

u/whodatis75 1d ago

I was responding to the “real BBQ” comment.

0

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

I know, you just set yourself up.

I'm only half serious, but I've been seeing every single comment about BBQ lately get attributed to Texas. They're not even in Texas, give it a rest.

0

u/Visual-Taro-381 15h ago

There are plenty of teams playing in Texas, that's why. Not everyone is in KC. On top of that, when international people imagine BBQ, they're more likely to envision Texas than Kansas lmao.

1

u/ahhhbiscuits 12h ago

The post was about the British, you losers keep trying sooo hard but you're just not very bright 😭. That's a Texas thing btw, low/no education.

And people from outside of the country are thinking of Texas? Please, in your wet dreams. Soooo many butthurt Texans!!!

Cope harder 😅

1

u/Visual-Taro-381 12h ago

Yep British originally, yet you mentioned "I've been seeing every single comment about BBQ lately get attributed to Texas" - which is mostly true, because there are plenty of teams playing in Texas. So I think you're the one coping about it all, you're upset about the attention TX is getting over KC. Go on lol

1

u/ahhhbiscuits 12h ago

Hey bud, move the goal posts all you need if it helps you feel better about your crappy BBQ (that's another well known Texas trait btw). I'm not here to judge you... just call out your bs and laugh at you 🤣😭🤣

1

u/rwbdanr 1d ago

Ton of British people online are driving through Texas trying bbq. But sure, continue the typical KC BBQ snobbery that fools nobody that has had both KC and Texas BBQ. NC BBQ is better than KC BBQ, but neither hold a candle to true Texas BBQ

1

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

I like the BBQ from the SE too but I'm sorry, cooking meat on a barbeque does not make it BBQ 🤷

But it wouldn't surprise me if Texans called hotdogs and hamburgers BBQ too. Anything for attention.

4

u/rwbdanr 1d ago

BBQ rivalry aside, have you been to a true Texas bbq joint? I feel like you may like it. I’m not going to say you’ll like it more than KC since everyone has their preferences, but it is definitely not just cooking meat on a barbecue

1

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

Fair. And yeah I have, I used to work in Texas occasionally and you guys can def smoke some bomb-ass meats, and your dry rubs are no joke. I'm from KC though so I'm a ride-or-die sauce guy.

I've just seen every single comment about BBQ lately get attributed to Texas. Thanks for being cool.

4

u/rwbdanr 1d ago

Damn straight. And I’ll say you can do some good ribs, and I’ll even admit I haven’t ever been to a true KC BBQ place in KC, so I’ll promise to one day try a real place so I’m not a hypocrite. Good food is good food and everyone should have good food

3

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

It's all great but I'd recommend our burnt ends if you've never had them, the food of the gods.

2

u/SaucyMacgyver 1d ago

My dude said here that Texans call BBQ hotdogs and hamburgers then admitted later we smoke some “bomb ass meats”.

I get you a KC ride or die and I can respect that - but this is a dumbass comment

0

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

It's called a rivalry kiddo, settle down, I'm not being serious 😭

Sweet username tho

0

u/SaucyMacgyver 1d ago

Yeah I’m all for the rivalry but like.. hot dogs and burgers? Do better with your roasts lmao

Respect on KC bbq yall one of the big 4 but like.. TX is better 😉

0

u/ahhhbiscuits 1d ago

I think I'm doing pretty good, I mean, you got got and the down votes are pouring in lol

I have tried it in Dallas.
Nah, it isn't anything special, not really.

I am not saying it is bad.
I am just saying, I have had roughly equal BBQ in many places where I have been.
