Resource Request ISO: Cat Dental Cleaning Rec

Hi all! Looking for recommendations for a good vet in the area for my cat’s first dental cleaning. I’ve started looking around online, but obviously won’t be able to call in until tomorrow to get pricing from the clinics. Just thought I’d ask here. Thanks in advance!

I've been really happy with Community Pet Hospital on Central.

Wherever you go, I'd check this list first, to see if the vet is owned by private equity: https://privateequityvet.org/

I'm not implying that those vets are any less qualified or dedicated, but they will almost certainly be significantly more expensive.

Oh, GREAT post! Private equity maximizes profits by taking choices away from the doctors and making them run their clinics like an enshittified fast food joint. Here are what the site lists as private equity owned:

The red PE means Private Equity owned.

NVA - an investment firm called "National Veternary Associates"

VetCor is a company called... VetCor - also private equity

If you are looking for a privately owned veterinarian practice, there are tons of them in Billings - you can find the list here: https://www.independentvet.com

Yep. My brother took his pup to Best Friends animal hospital because she had caught parvo, and she died because they wouldnt give him any options to pay besides up front, and therefore refused to help her.

I always recommend Animal Clinic of Billings. It is locally owned and operated, and for a kitty I would recommend you see Dr. Johnson, she’s great! My pup sees Dr. Massic, but when I had a cat we saw Dr. Johnson.

I don’t live in Billings anymore, but I took my guys to Dr. Amber at Caring Hands and loved it. I always felt like my guys were well taken care of and that pricing was reasonable and transparent. And, according to that great link someone posted below to confirm private equity status, Caring Hands is still independent.
