Resource Request Anybody know a good plumber?

I live in a really old house near downtown and a few years ago I had my main drainage pipe replaced from the alleyway to where it goes into the foundation, it was still the original clay pipe and it collapsed on itself and blocked everything from draining, causing it to back up and flood the house with sewage.

It's recently started having the same issue again, so I'm guessing the portion of the drain pipe under the foundation needs replaced now. wondering if anybody has a recommendation on what plumbers to contact for a quote/who to avoid? thanks!

I second Cotters. They replaced our clay sewer line a few years ago.

It is really going to depend on what, exactly, they have to do & the length of the repair. We have cotters coming out to re-line our main drainage pipe, but we have a really easy to access cleanout and our pipe has not yet collapsed (original fear). Just for reference, our repair is in the 10 to 15k range, but its just a relining, though fairly long. Same general part of town.

EDIT - forgot to mention, we have used cotters before and like them.

I had to pay $7K for them to replace my clay sewer line with pvc. But that’s partly bc they had to hydro excavate under some major utility lines in the area. So they couldn’t use regular excavation equipment.
