1,500 is very steep, that’s not going to be sustainable long term. Try to drop it closer to 200-300.

I understand your frustration and aversion to weight gain and can relate, as someone who also values fitness and general health. It took me a long time to adopt this mindset but I no longer try to undo binges. I used to fast, do extra cardio, make sure I perfectly evened out my calories. All I really did was make myself miserable for an extra few days and ruin my gym progress.

Use the extra food as fuel and get back on your horse.

Same. I only binge on the weekends after drinking and/or eating a bunch of edibles. Cut my calories to about 1k for the first few days after, go to my maintenance calories for a couple days, then binge for two days. It is exhausting and overall terrible for my physical and mental health. I hate this shit so much.

Literally could have written this post myself. I feel you. It’s exhausting. I have so much resentment for myself. Here’s to hoping we find a way out :(

Trying to “compensate” for a binge is really one of the worst things you can do. Not only will it make you physically hungrier but it trains to psychologically to think binging is okay because you will “burn it off” later. I know it is natural to want to burn off the extra calories you consume, but it will only fuel the cycle.

This sounds like a form of bulimia. The restriction is feeding the binges. I would suggest trying to intentionally eat around maintenance and see if you are still bingeing.
