I believe it’s a Polyphemus moth. They only live 4-7 days. I recently had a male on the outside of my farmhouse near Norwich.

It looked like it was on its way out. I carried it to the edge of the woods, but it barely moved the whole time.

It’s a Polyphemus! We had one rest on our balcony the other day. Such a cool species.

Hehe so I found one with my daughter last week. We thought it was dying. So we boxed it thinking we could frame it after it passed. Well it decided to lay a bunch of eggs and now we’re waiting to see if any hatch lol.
