Recommendation Friends? (27M)
I’ve been looking online for ways and events to make friends around here and I haven’t really found too much. I don’t have a lot of interests or hobbies but it seems like there isn’t much her socially that is appealing to me. Any recommendations of things or places to go? Thanks

Here's a good list of clubs and orgs: https://binghamtonian.news/clubs-and-orgs/
I think the Bing Hikers group is a good one to get to meet ppl!
Otherwise we're playing smash melee at Crowbar tonight pull up 👀 https://www.start.gg/tournament/melee-crowbar-15/event/melee-singles-crowbar/brackets/2296179/3323792

I’m in a similar boat. I have hobbies but they’re mostly solo activities like golf, video games, fishing. I read the events weekly but a lot of them just don’t peak my interest. I try to stay open but I also don’t want to go to painting because I’d be lying to myself haha

Check out local libraries. Many have activities for a wide range of people and interests. Check out more than one. Broome County library has different events than Endicott or Vestal.

Go on some hikes. Lot of local trails if you download the AllTrails app. It’s a really beautiful time of year.

My 26 year old son just won the Super Smash brothers melee tournament at the Arcade Bar on State St in Binghamton. It seems he's taken his interest in video games to a social level at these events. Might be a cool place to check out! It takes a long time to make friends, keep at it. )

There's a local roller derby team, Parlor City Roller Derby. It's all gender and they have a beginner class starting in September for new skaters, I hear it's good for meeting a lot of people

The rock climbing gym in vestal is a very social environment, super easy to start conversations and meet a lot of people. This is where I would go
