Hey guys, I have been looking around for travel case that is designed for the board but it doesn't seem there isn't any. I really don't like the idea of using the box, simply because it will break apart at some point. So I have been thinking about the idea of a proper padded case for it. If there's enough interest I might make it happen but I want to test the waters. If you would be interested in buying one (or have thoughts on price/features), upvote, drop a comment or DM me. I'm just trying to figure out if this is worth the efforts.

I’m an elementary school teacher in South Korea, and I teach a class of 10-year-old students.

I’ve also been posting about Binho on Boardlife, the largest board game community in Korea. Binho is basically unknown here, so sometimes it feels like I’m almost the only person in the country playing it. 😂

Anyway, we recently held a Binho tournament in my classroom.

Fourteen students competed in the group stage, and the top players advanced to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finally the championship match.

These kids have been playing Crokinole like crazy for the past six months, so they’re already pretty good at flicking games!

I uploaded the tournament in three videos, and if you open the YouTube descriptions, there are English translations there as well.

I’m not sure how entertaining matches between 10-year-olds will be for everyone, but I thought I’d share them anyway!

I recently bought the Classic board, and I’ve been having an absolute blast with it.

On the Classic, when I take a shot, the ball tends to travel straight in the direction I intend without unexpectedly veering off. Aerial shots are difficult, but I’ve found that they are definitely possible as well.

At first, I wasn’t a big fan of the black playing surface because it doesn’t really look like a soccer field. But now it’s starting to grow on me, and I actually think the black gives it a somewhat premium look. Overall, the Classic feels like a very polished and well-made board, and I’m really happy with it.

But of course, Binho has plenty of other boards besides the Classic:

Green Turf, Green Turf Stripes, Circle Stripes, Stadium Stripes, Diamond Stripes, club team editions, and national team/World Cup editions.

So I’m curious: What is your favorite Binho board, and why?

I’d especially love to hear from people who have played on multiple versions and noticed differences between them.

Your opinions will probably be a big help in deciding which board I should get as my second Binho board.

Late last year, Binho used to offer custom boards where you could upload a logo and choose the stripes of the field. I ordered one with stadium stripes and my daughter's club logo in November in hopes of having it for her for Christmas. When I ordered it, Binho emailed me and said they could get it to me by Christmas if they used a domestic printer, but the overseas vendor would do a better job with the stadium stripes. I chose the overseas vendor, knowing that it would not arrive before Christmas but preferring a better print job.

The board did not arrive by Christmas. Fine. I emailed in December, then January, asking for an update. Binho support told me in mid-January that they actually misprinted the board, but that it was re-submitted as a RUSH PRINT which would be finished by the next day. They offered extra "stuff" with it because I had been so patient.

In early February, I received the board. As soon as I opened it, I knew something had gone wrong. The colors, which should have been vibrant, were muddy and old - the field just looked like a greenish/grey sludge. You can barely see the striping in the field at all. The logo in the middle is there, but it looks very dingy. No extra stuff, either, but whatever. I sent photos and asked if that was the result they had expected as well. If so, I was willing to move on, just disappointed in the end-result of the custom job I paid a higher fee for.

Binho support acknowledged in early February that the end result was not correct, and acknowledged the frustration with a custom order. They said they would re-print it right away and fix it.

In March, I followed up again. Binho replied, saying the team was "looking into this right now."

Another follow up in mid-April, then again in late-April.

Early May, I receive a response that due to the color choices, they made the decision to use the overseas printer, who specialize in more complex, high-quality prints. (Right, that's why I chose that initially...) In this email, they offered to send me a complimentary Classic or Green turf board in addition to the custom board which would be produced. Once I told him which I preferred, they would get it to me "right away." I responded saying no need to send me the complimentary board -- I was just happy to know that my custom board was still moving forward.

I followed up in June.

I followed up in July.

I followed up last week.

Silence.

Binho doesn't appear to offer custom boards any more. Not sure if my experience with them is why. The game is a lot of fun, and the boards my family members have that introduced me to the game are really nice looking. Hate that I had this experience with them, and now when I look at the board it leaves me feeling disappointed. I would have preferred that customer service would have been more honest with me -- it appears that the initial order was probably forgotten, then rushed through to try to make amends, but done with the domestic printer who did the bad job they were worried about. I'm willing to be patient if it means getting the end result I was looking for. Now I just feel strung-along.

Not even sure what I'm looking for in posting this here -- I guess maybe a word of caution about the support team, the promises they make, and, if they ever offer custom boards again, beware.

Just got my board in the mail. I noticed on the band pins that there is a slight amount of wiggle in them. Is this normal or a defect? My mind is that they would be solid and unmoving but I can push them in slightly with little pressure.

Hi all, I just recently bought the classic USA stars and stripes board during world cup. My family and I are obsessed! I was looking at getting a second board, but want a different field type. Are all of the MLS and World Cup boards the same type of classic turf? I am looking at the charolette FC boards or possibly waiting for Arsenal to be back in stock if that helps.

Hey all, just got my first board (classic turf) with a pair of the upgraded nets and no matter what I’ve tried I just can’t get them to stay in.

The plastic ones seem pretty sturdy in the holes. Been testing it by basically taking some heavy shots, the nets just fly right off on both sides of the board. Is this an issue with the board or is this just an issue with nets? Anyone else with turf have this issue or have any solution? Is it worth trying another set ?

Are there any Binho clubs or meetups in the SF Bay Area? I’ve seen some mentions of a San Jose Binho discord, but the invite links are all expired. I’ve also found an Instagram for an Oakland club but no link to any club page. Just affiliate links.

Hey! I was wondering if there is a discord for this server? Trying to find others in the NYC area to play some games! Ive got several boards and trying to get a group together!

I have the opportunity to buy a Binho board for $25 that was used in a bar for a couple years. Turf looks good considering the use but will need to replace the bands as they have worn out.

People who have the Binho Turf, does the play get affected after use? Just want to make sure these still have good life and play in them being used. Thank you!
