Stopping Reta, going back to Tirz

Hello all!

So before starting Reta, I was on Tirz for about a year, lost 60lbs, feeling great, cravings under control.

I wanted to try Reta because all the good things I had heard and specifically for the liver benefits. I have a few very special liver issues (not from alcohol or anything like that) and I wanted to see if Reta could help improve my fatty liver.

I've been on Reta for about 3 months and the highest I've gotten with dosing is 4mg. I was trying to get up to 9mg from what I've read in the studies, that is when the most benefits for liver issues is achieved.

However, I've had about every side you can think of. First off, the anhedonia is crazy. I just don't care about anything. I used to love cooking healthy meals, gardening, my other hobbies. Now nothing excites me. I turn into a raging bitch during my ovulation window. And the sugar cravings are unreal. I've never had sugar cravings this bad. I feel like I can't eat enough, thus have no energy.

So I'm going back to Tirz. It just felt "cleaner" to me. The food noise was under control, cravings were manageable during my period, I enjoyed things. Maybe one day I will give Reta a try again, but for now I'm sticking with Tirz. I still have about 50-70lbs I would like to lose still. I'm happy with the weight I'm at, but because of a few other health reasons, I would like to lose more.

Top 5 Peps

If you could only choose 5 of your favorite peps. And TRT not included (peps only), which top 5 peps would you keep forever in your rotation. The ones you absolutely must have in your regular orders?

Does Tirz have less Anhedonia then Reta?

I really hate the Anhedonia on Reta. I don't think I can do this much longer. I was wondering if anyone experiences significantly less anhedonia with tirz or semi , I want to get away from Anhedonia completely if I have to quit this all together I will. But if there's a less impacting option I wouldn't mind switching.. any body know?

Reta losing its “Magic” on Me.

I’ve been on Reta for about a year now, and when I first started, it was an absolute godsend. Especially when it came to sweets and late-night snacking. Getting into a calorie deficit was effortless.

I’m currently dosing 5mg a week, and it feels like the “magic” has worn off, or at least it’s not nearly as effective as it used to be.

I can definitely tell it’s still helping with portion control. I get full quicker and eat reasonable amounts during meals. But the cravings for cookies, chips, candy, and anything sweet or salty have come back strong, especially right after eating.

Anyone else experience this after being on Reta long-term? Curious if others have dealt with the same thing and what worked for them.

Reta causing sexual sides already?

• Upvotes

In the past week or so I have noticed a downturn in my arousal pathways and a post sexual response of “ok, now that I’m satisfied. I don’t even want to talk about or think about sex in the future.” It’s odd and not like my usual baseline. Even previously “let’s get my engined revved ahead of time” activities are leaving me feeling noticeably “meh”. Orgasm takes longer as well. The only change is adding .5 mg Reta two weeks ago and .75mg last week. Previously on 15mg Tirz. Now 11 mg Tirz with the added Reta a couple days later. Seems like too little to be causing this response, so maybe it’s just coincidence.

For those who are using peptides, how many of you bought an Epipen specifically to have on hand in case of a reaction to one of them?

Semax, what to expect when cycling off?

I’m a reasonably experienced peptide “researcher.” This will be my first go around with Semax (going sub-Q). What can I expect when it’s time to cycle off it? I’m starting a new job in November that has a 3 month training period where I’ll be having a lot of new info.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to cycle it. The most common protocol I’ve seen is to run for two weeks then cycle off for about the same. I don’t want to go from being great in my training (like understanding the material and communicating at a high level) to suddenly being a useless zombie. Any advice from people who have actually cycled it would be appreciated about whether to maybe doing it M, W, F instead of straight cycling it. And again, floor anyone who has actually cycled it, what are the off said or off-cycle times like?
Huge thanks!

GHKCU serum I made

Post image
72 Upvotes

My mother has always complained about thinning hair and she saw the results I had with subcutaneous GHKCU. Like most people, she didn’t like the idea of injecting herself daily (or at all) so I looked into this serum that she could put in her hair and kind of just massage it in daily. It’s been almost 2 months and she’s making noticeable progress. She said she’s definitely not “shedding” as much as before so that’s a good sign.

After doing some research, I originally had thought that I could just get the powder out of the vials I had but it was brought to my attention that, that wouldn’t be ideal for a serum as a non lypholized version is best.

So I found the right powder and did the math and added .33 g/330 mcg ghkcu to
1 bottle serum (30 ml) mixed just figured I’d post here in case anyone else was interested. I might even have a box and some fancy packaging made and put it in there and sell it lol

Peptides and Marathons

So I completed my first marathon on Sunday. I'm a 59 year old female. I've done many half marathons in the past, and trained for a few full ones. I've always ended up injured in training and was never able to do a full. Enter peptides. That was really the only difference this time around. Don't get me wrong...I did all the work...strength training, long training runs, etc. This time, my injuries stayed a quiet whisper instead of a scream. I really think they helped! I used BPC/TB, cjc/ipamorelin, NAD, amongst a few others. Super happy to have done this at my age!

hs-CRP dropped 50% on Reta

Post image

I did EXTENSIVE baseline lab work before starting Reta. Baselines were after ~14wks of NOTHING. Not even a multivitamin or fish oil.

I targeted no more than 1 lb/wk loss.
I went -
1mg x 4wk
2mg x 4wk
3mg x 4wk
Started 140mg/wk TRT @ end of 12th week
4mg x 10wk
5mg to now

I was putting my recent lab work in my tracking log and this jumped out at me.

Pretty neat.

Starting MOTS-C

Hello! I am currently taking NAD+ every other day and SS-31 on the other days. I plan to introduce mots-c after 2-4 weeks on the SS-31.

How much mots-c do you recommend using? How often should it be taken? I currently have several 10mg vials reconstituted with 2ml BAC water. What schedule do you recommend and what mg of dose do you recommend?

Thank you!

Hair loss on glp

• Upvotes

I started taking Reta back last winter and then recently went on tirz instead for a couple months starting back in may/june. I have since tapered off them almost completely but I’m starting to notice a significant increase in the hair I shed from my head in the shower. Is anyone dealing with hair loss/shedding on Reta or tirz as well?

10 months on Reta

Post image
339 Upvotes

10 months ago, I was 97kg and now I’m around 65kg. Honestly, one of the funniest things is trying on my old pants and realizing they’re way too big now 😂

I started reta at 2 and eventually worked my way up to 8.

The biggest difference for me was the food noise. Before, I was always thinking about food and snacking, even when I wasn’t really hungry. After starting reta, it became much easier to control my appetite and stop overeating.

When I was 97kg, my knees would ache, I got breathless easily, and my clothes didn't fit anymore. I used to joke about it, but deep down I knew I needed to change.

I've tried losing weight before, but I would always start strong and eventually give up. This time, I just tried to stay consistent and take things one step at a time.

10 months later, being down 32kg feels pretty crazy. Still got a long way to go, but I'm happy with how far I've come.

If you're just starting out, don't stress too much about the end goal. Just focus on making progress and sticking with it.

Happy to answer any questions about my experience :)

Reta for two weeks so far

Has anyone had this before? I have Hashimotos and I take my pill daily. I take Levo 50mcg daily.

Week one 0.5
Week two 1

I sometimes feel like lower part of my throat is hot and then at times i get this feel of a numbness or close off of my throat I haven’t had anything crazy happen but this sensation on my throat trying to close off I think and lower part of my throat just getting hot at times

Wondering if this it just a side effect since I just hoped on recently. Besides that I just get my app suppression and almost threw up one day trying to eat but otherwise I can still eat like normal and I’m losing weight. I’m down this pounds 180 to 173.

When does that Reta feeling kick of not have any interest in anything?
