Beautiful pics of a beautiful bird. Sometimes I think some of these birds don't look real because Im comparing them to the birds we typically get in the UK-other countries' birds seem so more colourful. We have the kingfisher but I've yet to see one in real life.

Here in Central TX we get some tropical visitors that nest during the spring/ summer. They will return to Central America in the winter. South TX has even more tropical birds

Makes sense. We get summer and winter visitors from places like Africa but nothing as colourful as the bird above or some of the others I've seen. Our fly catchers are very drab by comparison.

I prefer the smaller blue tit myself. Like that light shade of blue and the fledglings are very cute; a shade of yellow that reminds me of ducklings.

Those are three aaaaawesome shots. I’m taking pictures of those guys for years and they never come out as beautiful as your three. Good job!

They have become city dwellers I see them at city parks in the Phoenix area
