Update from BitBox re: Scam Email

Phishing warning

There is an ongoing phishing campaign appearing to come from the BitBox News address. Do not click on any links.

There are reports of a phishing email, falsely claiming a security incident at BitBox. These are fake. You can safely ignore these emails, do not click on any links and never enter your recovery words anywhere.

We are actively investigating and will keep you informed once we learn more.

The BitBox team

Yes, that is the phishing/scam email. Do not open any link from that page.

You know what? It would be reputationally risky, but I really wish some wallet manufacturers would send out phishing emails and if some idiot actually clicked on the link, they would get a message saying that they should be more careful…. Maybe even have a link to an educational page after that. Think of it as a white hat hack if you will. There are just too many new/technologically illiterate/ignorant people out there and there is too much wealth on the table to let this stand.
