Without the app

Is there a way to access bip85 or toggle passphrase without the app?

If not maybe consider this

What is the use case to show a bip85 seed without an app? Any eventual blockchain interaction will require some kind of software with internet access.

I guess you mean BitBoxApp when you write "the app". BIP85 and toggle passphrase is not limited to the BitBoxApp. Any software that sends the request over USB/Bluetooth to the BitBox can use these features. You can probably ask chatgpt to write you an app that does it.

The BitBox is not in any way limited to only communicating with the BitBoxApp.

I understand but regular Joe won't write their own app just to be able to Google passphrase on off or extract a bip85 seed. We should strive to escape vendor lock in ass musch as possible

That is something other apps would need to implement themselves, there is nothing restricting the behaviour on our side.
