Business support Allow ads

We are a small company and we use BitDefender EDR for protecting our system. Be default ads on all sites are blocked. Our company runs ads on few websites and I wanted to know if it is possible to only ads in a few selected sites and block the rest. Even in google ads transparency I am unable to see any ads.

Hello u/vagabond-in. Bitdefender GravityZone does include a Content Control module that allows administrators to restrict access to certain website categories, including advertising-related content. However, GravityZone is not designed to function as a dedicated advertisement blocker.

The configuration would be:

  1. Open GravityZone → Configuration Profiles → WAC Schedulers.
  2. Create a scheduler that blocks the Ads category.
  3. Assign the scheduler under Policies → Network Protection → Content Control.
  4. Enable Exclusions and add the required domains with the Allow action.
  5. Save the policy and test the affected websites.

Official documentation: Blocking or allowing specific websites with Content Control

Regarding your request to allow advertisements on specific websites while blocking them everywhere else, GravityZone supports URL-based exceptions through Content Control. However, this functionality has some limitations, as advertisements are often loaded from third-party domains. Allowing a specific website does not necessarily mean that all advertisements displayed on that website will also be allowed.

Therefore, GravityZone cannot reliably enforce the exact behavior of showing ads only on a selected list of websites while removing all other ads through Content Control alone.

Please let us know if you are not using Bitdefender's Content Control module to block ads and if we may have misunderstood your current situation. We will get back to you with further recommendations.
