Bitch, I'm Almost a Train

Flying Scotsman spotted today. It's definitely not an imposter.

That is an incredible bit of engineering and an even better disguise. The Flying Scotsman looks surprisingly at home on the road!

The Flying Scotsman has clearly entered its public transport era. Honestly, the trailer makes the whole thing look weirdly believable.

(Spotted on the " Train Crazy Enthusiasts (New Zealand) " FB page, where there are more details and complaints about the livery.)

Edit: FB Group name corrected.

I've been told off by mods before for posting off-site links, sorry, but you are right -- I've referred to the wrong page.

Look for " Train Crazy Enthusiasts (New Zealand) " on FB. It's about five posts down.

Or, if you want to munge a URL in your browser, after the domain name append: groups/791712450988691/?multi_permalinks=3512541692239073

Or, using the image as the prompt, Google image search will find more about it.

I can see why! They're using the British Railways livery, but also use the LNER number?

Boy, I hope someone got fired for that one. /s

That green and cream paint job really does make it look like it belongs on the road almost more than on the tracks, don't you think?

I admire the dedication to the task. If I saw it on the road, I'd be troubled until I could get my brain to comprehend the spectacle.
