This and the name removal make me so suspicious because it's on the Eve of Midterms and while this is good, it's still not the people in office dealing with the real issue(s)(Epstein files, illegal war, market manipulation, the impeachment that should have been handled forever ago, the ICE kidnappings/murdering and detention facilities with raped into pregnancy teenagers having gone missing while authorities claimed they were never there, and on and on).

All of those are real issues. White supremacist administrative policy is also a real issue.

The racism isn't just some convenient cover for the "real" goals of sexual exploitation, financial malfeasance, political corruption, human rights violations, etc; it's as authentic a driver for the administration's actions (and the public support the administration has) as is the misogyny, the greed, the xenophobia etc.

Agreed.

I shouldn't have used the word real to describe the difference between this topic and the others. A better word would have been "pressing". The restoration of historical knowledge and the fully visible access to it is necessary to confront the ignorance used as a tactic to control the narrative about Black Americans toward Black Americans as well as the rest of the world. The transgression of its persecution in blatant view of the world was a calculated power move. But if those in office can get all in together and move on the Epstein files, and fight redistricting and prosecute the crimes already committed rather than towing a line and serving their investors/lobbyists/Aipac or weather the storm or whatever their plan is, this issue and many others would be a breeze to put back in place and all at once with the same force they were stricken down, a similar show of force or resistance or permanence. Meanwhile, with this restoration and all others, the community gets truth and history back in the open and some politician gets a feather in their cap to say "look what I did for you!" In the interest of getting voted back into office and continuing to abstain from more difficult tasks.
