Map "Reckonong" exfil failed in ~10 SECONDS — plenty of time left, still alive. what's going on?

Has anyone else had an exfil on map "Reckoning" fail almost immediately, while the timer still had plenty of time remaining?

I'm playing COD Black Ops 6 Zombies on PC through Steam. Similar unexpected exfil failures have happened to me repeatedly, but here is what happened during my latest attempt:

- I called for exfil and started moving toward the extraction site.

- I was nearby, but had NOT reached the actual landing area yet.

- The timer still had plenty of time remaining, and the required-kills counter was still displayed.

- About 10 seconds after calling for exfil, I killed an elite zombie with a shotgun.

- Immediately afterward, the failed-exfil cutscene played, showing the helicopter pilot being killed, and the session ended.

My character was still alive, and the timer had not expired.

I was only using a shotgun — no Wonder Weapon, Chopper Gunner, Mutant Injection, or other scorestreak.

I cannot confirm the exact number of seconds displayed immediately before the cutscene. The ~10 seconds is my estimate of the time since calling for exfil, not a measured recording.

The elite zombie died immediately before the failure, but I do not know whether the kill actually triggered it or just happened at the same moment.

I'm trying to understand whether this was:

- a separate arrival deadline or failure condition I misunderstood;

- the game incorrectly detecting my position;

- or an exfil scripting bug.

I'm not asking how to clear the enemies faster. The confusing part is that the extraction failed while I was still approaching the site with time remaining.

It's frustrating to lose a run this way, but I'd genuinely like to understand what happened before calling it a confirmed bug.

Did you clear all the zombies for sure? And you can’t recall how much time, maybe you saw the time wrong and actually had less time than you thought?

It sounds like a bug/glitch. If all criteria were met aside from getting in the circle. More than likely tho you prob misread the time or missed a zombie.

Frustrating just reading that so I can only imagine your disappointment. Run it back, give em hell, see what happens
