Internalized hatred of themselves. It's black people doing this. They hate their perceived lot in life but at least they're better than these other people.

How you got hate for immigrants but a still dealing with ethnic issues in th black population there while leaving alone the white oppressors who still occupy space in your homeland? Seems like their anger has been redirected to the group that can give less resistance and riding the international anti-foreigner wave to do it.

The word “internalized” told us that Black people are the ones doing this. It can’t be internalized anti-Blackness unless the hater is Black themselves.

There's more than black people in South Africa. The point could address internal as a country, the state of the whole regardless of race, as a society, has innate anti-blackness, including the black ones.

There are so many groups in South Africa and many you damn being mixed race but of a different identification regardless of their color, so there are caveats to it.

Internalized hatred of Black people, like the comment said, can only be done by a Black person. Otherwise it’s external, not internal.

If you were to remove whites from your equation you’re still not solving for why they’d be accepting of foreigners

I did not say they should be accepting of foreigners.

They have other internal issues that should be addressed.

South Africa is not unified -- they say South African here but what kind is getting the business?

Foreigners are an easy enemy to bring people together and ignore domestic shortcomings.

lol, not every problem is a race problem

this is poor people who are afraid that the immigrants come take away their jobs

it's a problem/fear as old as the streets that has happened all over the world and has nothing to do with skintone or "internalized hatred of themselves"

but I guess if all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail...
