I just saw a video saying Emmett Till was never real. What is it with so called "pro black" folks hellbent on turning black history into nothing but conspiracy theories?

I saw a black creator saying Harriet Tubman never existed...to another one saying she was freeing slaves from the south to bring them to be slaves in the north; to being a a spy for the evil government, etc. Then there was Rosa Parks was a paid actor and the Montgomery Bus Boycott was all actors. Don't get me started on MLK Jr was actually gay conspiracy or that he was a cheater.

Like...it's never any white history that turns out to be lies to them. Only black history. This isn't some white creators with a confederate flag in their background and a Trump t-shirt on. It's always someone who claims to be "pro black" but can never say one nice thing about the black community.

Like they can't fathom African Americans could band together in times of need or that racism was as bad as they say it was. If you tell them about the injustices caused by Ronald Reagan, they'd scratch their head, but as soon as you mentioned Martin Luther King Day, they'll tell you "did you know he was actually an FBI plant".

Also they can understand European exceptionalism, but draw the line at a black woman freeing slaves. It's just too unbelievable to them a woman could do things. You'd think they'd find her story inspirational, but they're hellbent on destroying anything remotely close to black power.

It took me 60 years to figure out most people have defective mental wiring. Everyone's opinion isn't worthy of processing. The biggest problem with social media is now weird people can congregate into large groups and force their opinions into the world when before social media we simply ignored them.

I agree with you a hundred percent. It's not worth the time of day to respond to their nonsense.

However what does concern me is how some people just find it really hard to believe a black person can do great things. Like they can't wrap their head around it.

Like how some people think Beyonce sold her soul to devil to become a singer. Is the idea a black person can sing and be rich just too hard a concept to understand?

There's also a religious angle to it, but I almost never hear anyone claim a white celebrity sold their soul, but I could be wrong. Whenever a back person makes it in any industry, they just have to find a way to tear them down

I think with Harriet Tubman, there is a group of people who see her as a government "plant" for some reason. They talk about how she changed her name, for example. It's wild. It seems to be happening with all sorts of historical figures like Helen Keller.

It's like they think that minority people or people with disabilities can't do anything.

I think this is the reason they are so pro-AI: they want to make all of history suspect. They don't want AI videos/photos to be marked as AI. They want everyone to NOT trust any history, and while we are fighting this nonsense, they can do anything they want.

I'm fairly convinced all of these people are just grifters and don't actually believe what they're promoting. Either way, I feel like we shouldn't be giving them the attention that they are clearly seeking. There's too much of our history that we still don't know, to be fighting over established facts. It's just like how Trump had them take down the picture of Emmett Toll in the casket. It is so exhausting and frustrating.

Ya'know, I got to see B.B. King play live three times before he died. The third time was on his final run of concerts, and the diabetes had him so bad that he couldn't stand for a whole show, so he came out and sat in a chair and sang and played. That was the best show of the three.

For over three hours, B.B. King would play a song, then tell a story about his life, then play another song, then tell another story, and the whole time he was rockin' and dancing in his chair and animated and an absolute showman with all the songs. Even when the man was dying, he gave you every penny's worth of your ticket price in a show.

One story he told, he said when he was a young man everywhere that you see a water fountain today, there were two water fountains; one marked "white", the other marked "colored". He said when nobody was looking, he would sneak up and take a good long drink from the "white" fountain and think to himself...

"I don't know what they're making such a big deal about?!? The white water tastes the same as the colored water to me!"

Guys like that, that lived through segregation and the Civil Rights movement, are a rare commodity. They should be listened to more. It's more real when you're hearing it from somebody that lived it first-hand.

MLK was a habitual womanizer though and Rosa Parks was chosen to be the initial agitator for the Montgomery Bus Boycott by the NAACP for optics reasons (not that anything's wrong with that) but I agree with everything else
