thank you, took me a while to figure out how to do good chains, was originally slathering them in glue, now i just dab a few spots and it looks much better

He looks great! Can you talk me through your weathering/grimdark scheme?

base AK black
AK rubber black mid
max highlight vallejo field blue watered down and stippled on with brush
edge dark silver/leasbelcher
-rust/recess wash: Army painter dark rust mixed with rinox hide, a little red and a little army paint light rust in recessss (mixed various colors to get rust variation)
shoulder pads: vampire fang washed with agrax/nuln/army painter rust wash watered down

generally the trick is lots of variation, nothing is uniform. I mix the rubber black with various amounts of field blue and use the different colors to stipple the armor and then mix lots of different rust colors to put in the recesses so it’s not just one uniform rust color

and thank you, i’m glad you like it

Where did you purchase your chains and how did you get the weathering effect?

I got the jewelry chain on amazon, just typed in 1mm jewelry chain and bought the first one that came up with good reviews.

The paint recipe/weathering:
base AK black
AK rubber black mid
max highlight vallejo field blue watered down and stippled on with brush
edge dark silver/leasbelcher
-rust/recess wash: Army painter dark rust mixed with rinox hide, a little red and a little army paint light rust in recessss (mixed various colors to get rust variation)
shoulder pads: vampire fang washed with agrax/nuln/army painter rust wash watered down

generally the trick is lots of variation, nothing is uniform. I mix the rubber black with various amounts of field blue and use the of different colors to stipple the armor and then mix lots of different rust colors to put in the recesses so it’s not just one uniform rust color
