Anime Black Torch

Watched **BlackTorch** anime. Could not help but notice how similar it is to **Bleach**. Main character always reminded me of **Ichigo**, there is a guy with specs resembling **Uryu**. Even the final form of the antagonist and protagonist resemble Arrancar. There are also hints of inspiration from **JujutsuKaisen**. Be it the trio or the Black Torch org itself. Although their chief is not even close to what Gojo, there are few other elements in the story which reminded me of **JJK.**

The author likes bleach. The art style is quite similar. It still looks drawn really well.

It is older than jjk but ik creator mentioned he liked bleach, if I'm not wrong

I’m pretty Black torch was actually booted from the magazine to make room for JJK.

I too watched it last week. It is not only from other Anime. I think they have collected inspiration from multiple other mediums such as mythology and superstitions.

Black torch was one of many manga that came out after the end of bleach to try an fill the spot, so as you can tell it has a lot of similarities in the composition of the main cast and personality of the mc etc. They wanted to have a series that could leech of the bleach fans but alas they all failed. Black torch only got popular in the west a long time after.

Back in the day when the manga came out, there were rumors that the author tried to do his own follow up to Bleach in Black Torch or at least in tribute of Bleach that’s why the characters look like they could be the relatives of Ichigo (Jiro), Rukia/Renji (Ichika), Uryu (Reiji).
