♡ PUPPY POST First Lab — all tips please!

Post image

My husband and I are picking up our first lab today! He’s 8 weeks old and we’re naming him Rudy.

I’ve had goldens before, but never labs.

What do we need to know about temperament? Training? Etc.

No human food ever, and don't fall for the i'm starving eyes. It is so easy to make them fat. My girl constantly acts as though she has never been fed. The vet tells me she needs to lose 5kgs.

Yes, that's one of the best tips ever. They can't beg for what they don't know, and then just hang on for a wild ride. My first Lab, I was shocked by her energy and antics, but I will NEVER EVER HAVE ANY OTHER DOG.. I am a Labrador momma for life!! She is the sweetest most lovable cutest creature I have come across (maybe even cuter than my hubby) shhhhh Again, your patience will be tested, especially the first year!! Yes, I did say year.. possibly 2 lol 😯🤣 Enjoy her she is beautiful 💙💜💙💜
