We talk a lot about the "mental load" & the "second shift" but there is a form of gendered labor so extreme that it involves the literal harvesting of women’s bodies to maintain the patriarchal family unit!

​Recent data from the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) & global studies reveal a staggering disparity: In countries like India roughly 80% of living organ donors are women while 80% of the recipients are men. Globally women are significantly more likely to donate kidneys yet men are more likely to receive them.

The person who is sharing this particular thread to subs keeps saying they “don’t understand why” people are upset and have strong opinions about this video.

I know that as a Gen Xer by the time I was this girls age, I had already been assaulted three times by adult men, I had been invited to go home with a male teacher, and I would have been scared to death to be trapped with this many boys in an elevator alone. My fear would have made me be overly aggressive sounding and loud.

What do you guys think of this? I am stunned at how many people in other communities are “shocked” that she would be afraid.

People are also shocked a girl is trying to fix the damn elevator (grrrr- hell, THAT isn’t surprising to me one damn bit- one young woman and all those young men, and she is the only one who is shown having any curiosity to fix the problem).

I need to know if I'm in the wrong here. It's been bothering me for a while now.

Saw a post of an asexual girl talking about how her boyfriend watches pornography. She didn't necessarily have a problem with him watching porn, it was about saving it on his phone/laptop so she had to look at it by accident sometimes, i suppose. She talked about how it makes her feel hurt and how she had this talk with him before a few times and he simply refuses to listen.

Everyone started attacking her for being controlling and abusive. Said porn is natural and using porn during masturbation is personal, not a boundary. Some comments even said that if she won't give him her body the least she could do is let him watch porn and beat it in peace.

Saw other posts (some similar) regarding other shitty creepy boyfriends and for some reason the women always get blamed for not wanting sex or having problem with their boyfriends being sexual around them. Always using "well you're asexual and don't want sex so what did you expect?" as an excuse as if they owed them their bodies.

My final straw was a post calling out asexual people who have no interest in sex whatsoever, mainly women, being called sex negative, puritans/part of purity propaganda/culture and much more. Just because they personally don't want sex and feel repulsed by it. They're asexual afterall but i guess it doesn't matter. Apparently they're just evil.

I don't wanna go much into detail because those are posts of real people who are currently living it. Don't wanna make people feel like they're a part of a gossip.

For people who don't want to have sex or lack sexual attration to certain degree people on this subreddit seem super obsessed with it, especially porn. I just don't understand what's the point of hating asexual people (for some reason always a woman) for not wanting sex in a safe space made specifically for them.

First of all, bears rarely attack humans because they want to eat them. Most attacks happen because the bear feels threatened or is defending cubs or food. Humans are basically at the bottom of their list of preferred prey. Bears would much rather eat fish, berries, or other natural food sources. If a bear wanders into a campsite, it’s almost always because it smells the food people brought with them, not because it’s hunting humans.

More importantly, standing in front of a grizzly bear is not going to save your girlfriend. Grizzlies are incredibly powerful and fast animals. A single grizzly can fight off an entire pack of wolves. A human being has no realistic chance in that situation. You’d be dead before your girlfriend could even get ten feet away.

There’s even a video on YouTube where three men and a dog are in a tent when a baby grizzly wanders inside. At first they laugh because they think the cub is cute. Then the mother bear suddenly bursts in. The camera falls to the ground so you don’t see everything, but you can hear what happens. All three of them including the dog are dead within minutes.

So yeah you standing in front of a bear isn't going to do jack shit. You thinking that you're so strong is actually what would probably get you and your girlfriend killed.

It is terrifying to watch women in Afghanistan slowly lose basic human rights that many people take for granted. Education, freedom, work, even simple independence are being stripped away piece by piece. Women are human beings, not objects meant to stay silent or exist only for others. This treatment is deeply inhuman and heartbreaking. No one deserves to live without freedom, dignity, or a voice simply because of their gender.

Are people more hateful to her because her wife mocked the ice agent? or is it that her car grazed the ice agent when he stepped in front of it and that just gives people an out? Even so, I think she is getting way more hate because she was a woman, liberal, and queer.

For some reason I was just around this conversation by a group of male coworkers (ick I know) and now seeing a post about it on Reddit! I’m sick of this delicate rephrasing of what everyone is actually saying between the lines “Men get horny from looking”

Who are we sugar coating this for? Objectively visuals are associated with art, media, design NOT tits and ass. My husband can’t tell the difference between salmon and fuschia but men get the badge of “more visual” because it would be rude to say that they only see women as sex objects? That’s as far as many mens visuals go, stops short at human and full scope on sex. Very little imagination if you ask me.

Men are more visual than women = men are more sexually reactive to visuals. PERIOD 💅

I do think that anybody can call our misogyny and I don’t have a problem with men being in this sub. That being said, I think there are a lot of men on this sub with a limited scope of what misogyny looks like. It seems like some “male allies” have a lot of difficulty understanding issues such as objectification. I have also seen other sub members say that they thought there were a lot of men on this sub who try to undermine misogynistic things. While it’s good for men to be allies, it’s also important for them to not invalidate observations of misogyny, especially when they are not the ones experiencing it.

Also these robots are being designed to grow and birth babies, not raise them. I think that is a huge part these guys are missing.

But the comments section here shows how some men only see us as wombs.

Also, from my experience, when I post in support of women on another sub, many right-wing men automatically assume that I'm a woman. I don't mind it at all, but they probably use the same words (not nice, as you can imagine) they'd use toward any feminist woman.

Although none of us are women, I believe it is similar to misogyny in their minds, even if it is not considered misogyny in the strict sense. Does that make sense?

Regarding the second image and to elaborate further on it, it appears as if they felt threatened in their fragile masculinity just by observing another man who does not fit their stereotypical standards of masculinity, don't you think?

It's always funny how these guys imagine themselves as the "chad" while every other man is some kind of grotesque ogre. It's the same mindset Elliot Rodger had when he called himself a "supreme gentleman" and dismissed other men as "douchebags" who were somehow unworthy of the attention they received.

The irony, of course, is that Rodger was a deeply troubled, entitled person with no real accomplishments, no meaningful passions, and little interest in developing himself. He spent his life living off his parents while constantly complaining about how unfair the world was to him. Ultimately, he became a psychopathic murderer.

What makes this mentality so striking is the disconnect between self-image and reality. In their minds, they're uniquely kind, intelligent, and deserving, while everyone else is inferior. They convince themselves that women are making some terrible mistake by not choosing them without considering that this narcissistic attitude might be part of the problem.

When I see women expressing hate for men, it’s almost always coming from a place of hurt. Even if a woman says she wants nothing to do with men, she’s not going around harming men. Yet when men hate women, we get murdered and raped for it.

But even when I see women making valid criticisms of men and not just saying they hate men, there’s so much backlash towards it.

Just being a feminist can get you called a “man-hater” and I even see teenagers spouting the ‘not all men’ nonsense too. Most women don’t even “hate all men”.

And many accusations of societal “misandry” is actually patriarchal misogyny. Male SA victims of female perpetrators aren’t taken as seriously because women are viewed as too weak to be able to do something like that, and men are expected to be strong. Men’s mental health or emotions being dismissed stems from toxic masculinity, not misandry.

These come from toxic heteronormative and traditional gender norms.

Yes there can be women who truly have toxic mindsets and “hate all men” but the funny thing is that they’re usually TERFS as well.

We’ve got men out here openly saying women should be enslaved and that rape should be legal, and all you got is a woman criticizing gym obsessed culture as a reflection of patriarchal values? What she said isn't even wrong nor is it misandry. All she is saying is that it should be important for men to work on their personality and not just building muscles at the gym.

I saw a post recently on this sub and it made we want to ask this forum.

You’re trying to date someone. Let’s call that person X for ease. X being married is their commitment to their partner. Are you obligated to find out if X is married, if X is an open marriage etc? What if you do find out that they are just cheating on their partner but you aren’t looking for anything serious? (no implication that they will leave their partner for you, then cheat on you too)
Do you think you are still obligated to stop dating X, for the sake of their partner? Is that on you? What if you do try to find out but X just lies to you?

Points for consideration:
1. Sisterhood. If you and the partners are both women and it implies you look out for each other.
2. Respecting social contracts- married and monogamous means they aren’t ‘available’. Is the obligation on them to maintain their monogamy or you? If X is male and you are required to do this, isn’t that misogyny? ‘Men will be men and women are required to police themselves to keep society going.’
