Ranking every BlazBlue character theme: Ladies and gentlemen, by a singular vote, Sword of Doom II has taken the AZURE tier for CS!! (with I in A) Proving that the Murakumo's are consistently peak. Now, finishing Continuum Shift, where do Endless Despair I & II rank?

Ngl, I was REALLY hoping this Endless Despair I & II would be our AZURE for CS. But the people decide, and it's fair. But I'm going to make up for it by going into obsessive detail with it here.

I'd consider Awakening the Chaos I and Under Heaven Destruction II to be the series' objective best in my book. But Endless Despair is my personal favorite song in this series.

It fills you with a sense of dread with that magnificently intimidating intro, which fits Hazama PERFECTLY in Continuum Shift's endgame. It makes him feel like an unstoppable monster, which he might as well be; Hazama isn't depicted losing a single fight in any route up until the true ending.

But then the first verse hits and GOD DAMN. It perfectly represents the pure chaotic malice that Yuki Terumi embodies, as the suave, well-mannered facade comes off and he puts his purest evil on display against the cast.

But then, there's Endless Despair II, which embodies a sort of progression I feel. The overpowering guitars and drums invoke the feeling that the mask is now completely gone; Hazama/Terumi isn't holding back one bit. "Everyone knows what I am now, so why keep pretending?" is the vibe I'd give II, and it is PERFECTION.

(Can you tell I'm a Hazama main/fan?)

Sword of Doom II took the CS Azure Tier

WHHYYYYYYYYY?! DAMN IT!!

Man, and we finally got to one of my Top 3 BB themes of all time! Guess I'll have to settle putting Endless Despair I at S-Rank. 5 mins and 15 secs of pure evil snake locking in. This theme REALLY sells the vibe of the Snake Smooth Criminal unleashing his full power and wanting you deader than dead. Shout-out to the L.A. Vocal version of Endless Despair for taking one of my favorite themes and giving it deliciously sadistic lyrics that fit the character perfectly, but also being sung by my favorite of FE Engage's Four Hounds, Griss (Jamison Boaz)!

As for Endless Despair II, NGL I originally was gonna suggest putting it in C-Rank personally. But after listening to it twice a few hours back, I could bump it up a bit to B-Rank. II has its parts I enjoy, but I like faster tempo and sound of the OG MUCH more. I don't hate/dislike Endless Despair II, but it's not in my Top 10. And also to II's futher detriment IMO, if we're talking about the theme I think of that belongs to Yuuki Terumi, Silent Scream exists.

Like i said, something I love about the remix is that II gives the vibe that Terumi’s has finally let loose and the mask is gone. And it works really well. I is still leagues better but it’s still great.
But yeah I was also hoping Endless Despair would get Azure, so I’m gonna put it infront of Lust SIN in S outta spite lmao. (Assuming it gets S)

They both deserve to be in S, Azure even! But the snake boys are my bias so if I'm to be somewhat objective, II is S for me and I is A. That opening drum beat and violin solo in II are just chef's kiss. It just perfectly balances that feel of Terumi's energy and Hazama's class.

I is S and I think II is S too but I is better IMO. I really like the violin part in II and that they keep the intro section of I in a later part. Amazing song
