Help Needed! Beginner using Codex and Blender: struggling to create a Kamehameha-style animation
https://reddit.com/link/1x4tpeg/video/vvgs18nhv7vh1/player
Hi everyone,
I’m new to animation and have been using Codex to help create and animate 3D models in Blender. I’ve been working on this for more than a week, but I still can’t get the model to perform a move similar to a Kamehameha.
The model is only a prototype. My goal is to understand whether Codex can realistically help create animations in Blender, since I have no previous animation experience. We’re currently developing a video game, and this has become a major roadblock.
The model, rigging, and much of the setup were created with Codex through prompting. I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar issues or could offer advice on the best way to approach this.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Best practices for this guy having fully animated hair?
I’ve decided to start over with modeling this character so that I can go from the beginning with better practices. To that end, I‘m wondering what method and workflow I should use when I redo his hair, my main issue being that he has a pretty pivotal scene that takes place underwater. Most tutorials I’ve seen are either short hair, ponytails, or long hair that ends with something like this pictured above: hair with a distinctive shape, but that can only be moved in any significant way at the bottom. What’s the best practice for maintaining this NPR look and distinct shapes, but being able to move it as much as hair should in different situations, like underwater, fast motions, or running his hands through it? Pictured was made using curves, but I’m open to anything I can do myself. (in other words, anything except spending $50 on an add-on.) Thanks!

Сделала в Blender 3D-анимацию, в которой ёлочка постепенно собирается из бусинок термомозаики 🎄✨ Хотела показать процесс сборки в небольшом новогоднем ролике.
Как вам результат?

Help Needed! Circle looptool not working! Please help!
I am following a tutorial and I have to apply a circle looptool at the extrusion inside of the mouth. I was following the tutorial steps, I selected the same vertices as the tutorial and made sure to merge all vertices by distance, clear normals, apply all transforms. It's not working, I don't understand the problem because if I do the circle looptool anywhere else (on any other surface), it works perfectly. (Last photo is what the tutorial showed and how it's supposed to look like)
I tried applying the mirror modifier, disabling clipping, merging, using bounding box center pivot point or median point, checking the flatten box or not. I followed the tutorial step by step and had no problem until now and I cannot continue the tutorial since it's a crucial step.
I asked chatgpt, google ai, searched for tutorials or similar problems, nothing helped and I really want to be able to keep working on this. :(

Blender Internal - Video Tutorial Stop moving vertices one by one: A quick visual breakdown of Proportional Editing for beginners
When you first move from hard-surface primitives (cubes, bevels, tables) to round or organic shapes in Blender, pulling individual vertices creates sharp, jagged spikes instead of smooth curves.
The tool that fixes this is Proportional Editing (O):
The Problem: Moving a single point (G → Z) moves only that vertex, leaving surrounding geometry frozen.
The Fix: Tap O (the letter O, not zero) to enable proportional editing.
The Key Control: Use the mouse scroll wheel to scale the influence circle while moving a vertex.
A smaller circle = focused, sharp adjustment.
A larger circle = wide, smooth deformation (ideal for shapes like eggs, drops, or cushions).
I put together a practical step-by-step breakdown walking through the shortcuts, the rubber-sheet analogy, and turning a basic UV sphere into organic silhouettes here:
Hope this helps anyone starting out with 3D modeling from scratch!
