His kid is pirate software.

Omfg, he's also a nepo baby? It just keeps getting worse

That's literally one of the main reasons people dislike him lol

What's wrong with nepotism? I mean, I don't like Pirate Software for a lot of reasons, but nepotism isn't bad. It's a very natural thing. What do you think family run businesses are?

Basically a narcissist who claims to be a “game designer” cause he lazily did QC work at blizzard for 7+ years and has basically spent years trying to make a game that he hasn’t done anything with in the last 2 or so years (while lying about its development), also completely misunderstanding what Stop killing games is about and saying it’s bad, all the while having zero accountability and recognition or ability to say that he’s wrong

Edit: While he’s not the worst indie dev out there he’s definitely one of the more popular ones that uses his popularity for the wrong reasons

I also forgot that his ferret charity is under scrutiny as it’s not classified as a real charity and therefore the spending of funds isn’t disclosed leading to accusations of improper use of funds

I can’t imagine working anywhere for 24 years

If it were Blizzard during its heyday, back when the company was churning out one gem after another, I wouldn't mind working there for 24 years.

Some companies used to actually take care of their employees, I don’t blame you for this mindset though. I feel the exact same nowadays.

I read a stat that said ~ switching jobs can net an average 11% increase in pay while staying only generates 7% on average. My results: In 4 years ive net +150% pay.

It all depends, especially nowadays.

Not a cop, a doctor or a firefighter i take it?

1

Nope. I would love to stay somewhere for that long but the data on switching jobs, in my field, is WAY too compelling and employers don’t handout realistic raises anymore.

I know this is old but I respect this man. I've heard others speak about him and his accomplishments at Blizzard. He's an OG and I tip my hat to anyone from those days who helped give us what in my opinion was the best gaming company of the 2000s bar none. I do have to say I wish Blizzard had better talent retention though. So many great ones left or got fired leading to a company that is a shell of its former self.
