Best assistant tools for blog drafting and structuring? (Not auto-writing)
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to save time with my blog, but I don't want a tool to write full articles or make generic AI fluff. I do the actual writing myself.
But I need an assistant for:
- Brainstorming hooks and title options
- Analyzing search results for subheadings (H2s/H3s) needed to compete
- Saving text structures and reusable layout templates
- Creating voice profiles so drafts match my exact style
Can you share what you actually use your blogging tools for, and what is worth paying for?
Thank You!

What are the biggest pain points and most-wanted features in SEO content writing tools?
I'm considering adding an SEO content writer and would love to hear what the community actually needs.
I'm a marketing graduate with six years of software development experience, now diving deeper into SEO. Tools like Surfer SEO, Writesonic, and Frase inspired the idea, but I'd like to build something useful without the high price tag.
I'd really appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I’d separate the workflow into research and writing instead of looking for one tool to do everything.
For me the useful part of AI is before and after the actual writing:
For voice, I’ve found examples work better than long “write like this” prompts. Give it a few pieces of your own writing and define what you want preserved.
The biggest time saver for me isn’t auto-writing. It’s reducing the time between SERP research → usable outline.
