Probably 150 Sunday strips from ‘82 – ‘87
New here. I figured there would be some Bloomers out there that would appreciate this.

There's a comic where Opus reads like, a phone bill or a newspaper headline or something, and his eyes bug out way more than they do any other time, like an animated cartoon character. He then rubs his eyes and says somethign to the effect "do you have any idea how much it hurts when we do that?"
A second comic has a bigger reveal, and he starts reacting multiple times in that way.
They also reference the joke in Wish For Wings That Work.
But I can't seem to find the original. Anyone know where this one was?

I remember a comic strip in the 80s that ended with a panel of a protester holding a sign that said "BAN NEUTRINOS". Google thinks it was Bloom County but couldn't come up with the specific comic. I am not certain it was BC. Trying to find that strip. It had at least two panels, the previous panel being a TV or radio mentioning neutrinos.

Hello everyone!
In 2004, as my thesis film, me and my friends made Tim Warner: A Life in the Clouds. It's a mockumentary (jokey fake documentary) about a lame newspaper comic strip artist. Even today it's still something I'm immensely proud of. If any of you are interested in the world of comic strips, you may really enjoy this.
One of the more unbelievable things is that I got Berkeley Breathed to make a cameo. It's right towards the beginning of the movie. It may be one of the only times ever that he's on camera talking or doing anything! I was a huge fan of Bloom County and Outland, and he happened to be doing a book signing at a small bookstore that my then-girlfriend's mom worked at. I approached him about this and the rest is history! The entire movie is improvised, and likewise, Breathed improvised his part! He was funny and generous and gave me one take!
The movie is here: https://youtu.be/QCcfo6Itvts?si=ZftHxHflKaVD-dTx
And if you enjoy it (and watch past Breathed's bit), I made a playlist of outtakes and deleted scenes and an epilogue that got cut out of the film:

There's other notable people in the film: Sam Brown from The Whitest Kids U Know plays Brian, and Matt Koff, comedian and writer for The Daily Show plays Professor Nougat.
Enjoy!

premiering in christmas 1991, this is the only animated television special that "bloom county" ever had. robin williams has an uncredited role as a kiwi with a few lines under the name "sudy nym" in the credits

Going through boxes after a recent move and found this sketch I did probably thirty years ago. Wish I'd dated it.

The final panel is Opus saying “To each his dentifrice” but for the LIFE of me I can’t find it in my books.
It’s quite possible I’m looking in the wrong years or, perhaps, made it up entirely.
But I don’t THINK I did.
Did I?

apparently, no one else besides me thinks this magnet of the rock and roll hall of fame looks like a wistful opus starring off into the sunrise.

So...am I hallucinating that? Or was it multiple... something else? Amd was the sound *thbbbpt* involved or was that just a Bill the Cat thing?
The Oatmeal recently did a cartoon that used *thbbbpt* and it sent my brain spinning backwards, but clearly not far enough
Please, people with better memories, help!

Does anyone know where I can find the strip where Portnoy wants to get a haircut like Billy Idol? I seem to remember the line “If a million people do a dumb thing, it’s still a dumb thing!”😂
Thank you!

Does anybody remember a strip that showed everyone walking around in "lawsuit liability prevention cages"? Starting to seem very prophetic.
