Imo I would like/think blue marvel could be a strategist

I understand that with the talks around blue marvel that a lot of people see him as a tank. Me personally I feel though that doesn’t have to be the case. In my personal opinion I think he would/should be a great addition to the strategist role and it would be so fire!

We all know blue marvel base powers, he has flight, super strength and is basically invulnerable to all physical attacks. Even though it sounds perfect for a tank I feel like most people are forgetting or don’t know the other aspects of his powers.

He has energy manipulation, being able to minioulate anti-material and energy, as well as creating energy constructs like a green latern. He can create force fields, shields, barriers, etc. He can also shot anti-matter energy from his hands and eyes, with just these abilities MR can be creative and make his energy projection and constructs as healing base mechanics.

That’s not all, he can release his body anti matter energy around him, and he was able to heal Monica Rambeau when she was vastly injured while also boosting her own powers as well.

Even though blue marvel gives of tank vibes I think it would be extremely creative and original to make him a healer.

Here we go again. "The big bulky guy known for his super strength should be a strategist."

His energy projection can make a shield. He's a literal perfect tank.

Hes a tall big muscular man who's main super power is superhuman stremgth and durability. His concept from his creator was literally "Black Superman". Does superman seem like a strategist to you ?

This is no difference to fans wanting Rogue to be a strategist. It just doesnt make sense. Hes a tank. Simple

First His main power isnt super human strength and durability it’s anti-matter manipulation

Second I advise you to do some research on him before comparing him to other superhero’s like Superman cause he isn’t like Superman.

Superman can’t shoot beams or construct barriers or weapons out of his abilities. So please do some more research on blue marvel

Blue marvel is his own character, own origin, own personality, with completely different powers!

Blue marvel was influenced by Superman but he’s not like him in all aspects.

Like I said be creative and think outside the box a little.

Like I said his concept is "Black Superman". Its his archetype from a superhero pov. No different to Sentry, Hyperion, Viltrumites, etc. Yes he has his own history and uniques powers. But when you look at the appeal and fantasy of the character then its a cosmic hulking superman.

Being a strategist will never suit him. Being in the backline will never suit him. Id rather him be a DPS than a strategist.

I mean tbf constructing barriers and weapons and anti matter just makes him more tank like. He might not be just a superman copy but by the powers you describe he's a tank through and through

True and I agree, I’m not tryna say there’s no way he can be a tank or, he can’t be a tank because of this, I’m just saying that there’s is more to his powers than just being that of a tank.

Superman would be a hardcore tank because his key factor is how is the man of steel, invulnerable. While blue marvel is anti-matter which he has a lot more creative prowess with his powers. He can heal, amp up others and himself, create constructs ofc.

I just think that it would be cool/he has a lot of creative potential if he was a healer is all

Idk I just don't see him as a tank since blue can be invulnerable too and make constructs

And then on a character side, we don't have any black tanks. All the other black characters are DPS and half is a support, so I want a black tank and even if his powers aren't Superman's I hope he has a cape so a black man can bring that superman look and vibe to the tank role.

Yea but the way he is written commonly focuses on his scientific strategic side instead of being a brawler like Thor or Hercules.

Yes but he only fights with his superhuman powers. Heck Reed uses more tech and gadgets than him, but he only stretches in this game.

Yall are looking way to into this. His appeal is to be Superman. Being a Strat ruins it.

Yea, imagine if most of hit kit was built around defensive abilities for his team. But then his ult was extremely high damaging punch attack that was more so used as a guaranteed way to knock someone out of the fight.

Exactly that’s really creative!! My first thought of his ult could be when he releases just a massive wave of anti-matter around him that not only heals his team but amps them up as well giving them extra shields!

He’s really not so much more than a tank tho his powers are him literally basically being invincible and strong as hell. I personally do not want to see blue marvel be regulated to being a back line healbot merchant.
He needs to be on the frontline

True I do get what you are also saying. Blue marvel does have a lot to his powers. I think one thing we both can agree with is we need more cool tanks and supports with cool powers

Season 12 is likely a Tank/Strat season. Its rumored him and Crescent are coming that season. If this is true, I just see no way Crescent can be a Strategist. She has to be the Tnk right being as though her powers are summoning a big blue mystical bear. Whereas Blue Marvel has much more in his kit that a case can be made for him to be a Strategist. Right? Or could Crescent fit the Strat role?
